  Our guide,Shu,, was excellent. He went above and beyond to help us. It was a really great experience. The only thing that wasn’t so good was that the first hotel we stayed at was in a poor area and appeared to be in the red light area. Our stay in the country was excellent and the people who let us into their home were excellent.

  Very disappointing and I wished I had read more reviews prior to booking - leader did not speak English well, did not know public transportation system, left people behind, missed some locations on itinerary, no information provided on Japan, and no attention to the health and well being of the group. Please be careful when choosing this tour company.

  My guide, Hiromi Charles, was amazing. She ensured we all had the best experience possible by sharing knowledge regarding the Japanese culture/history, staying on schedule and accommodating us when possible.

  Our guide was very attentive to our needs, knowledgeable and if she didnt know the answer to a question made the effort to find out. She was also able to provide us with options that fit within the itinerary schedule and meant we all experienced what we wanted to in Japan.

  Our guide was great! Junko did a great job of giving us a quick look at her home country. She found us amazing places to eat that were very reasonably priced. She managed all of our transport arrangements effortlessly. I had never been on a guide tour before and did not know what to expect, but it was an excellent way to experience Japan for the first time. I would definitely use Intrepid again to see another country.

  Our guide, while incredibly kind-hearted and helpful, came off as inexperienced and a bit disorganized.He was a bit passive, and as a result some of the members on the tour took advantage of him to the detriment of the rest of the group.People were late, complained a lot, and were not in good enough physical condition to complete activities that were listed in the itinerary, which resulted in some things being omitted or shortened, which was incredibly disappointing.I've been on numerous tours with numerous companies, and I understand accommodating other members of the group is a necessary element of group travel, but some of the people on the trip were so badly behaved/rude/disrespectful that it greatly lowered my opinion of the trip.The guide was unwilling to challenge them on their behavior, and as a result, we all suffered.
