You'll arrive in Épernay, the heart of the Champagne region, and check into your hotel. There's time to walk around town and get a feel for the place before dinner. It's a nice way to ease into things and start getting oriented.

- Day 2
Épernay
After breakfast, you'll meet your local guide and pick up your bike. The first ride takes you through villages like Ay and Cumières, then you'll head up to Hautvillers, where the Champagne process actually started. You'll see vineyards the whole way and cycle back to Épernay by evening.

Épernay to Reims
Today you're cycling from Épernay along the Marne canal for about 18km to Condé-sur-Marne. From there, you'll follow a smaller waterway and ride through farmland before heading back down to the canal level. The route continues on canal paths into Reims. You'll check into your hotel and take an evening walk through the historic center.

- Day 4
Reims
It's a rest day in Reims, so you can choose how to spend it. Visit the famous cathedral and pop into champagne bars around the city center if that appeals to you. Or if you'd rather keep moving, there are nice cycling routes through the Massif de St Thierry with rolling vineyards and forests nearby.

Reims to Épernay
You'll cycle through the Montagne de Reims with its mix of forests and vineyards. This route has the tour's biggest hills, including a one-mile climb partway through, but then it's mostly downhill to make the return to Épernay easier. After you get back, there's a final dinner and another night at your hotel.
