  1. Day 1

    Bishkek

    You'll be picked up at the airport and driven to your hotel in Bishkek. Once you've settled in, grab an early dinner at a local restaurant. Then wander through the central city to see Victory Square, Ala-Too Square, Oak Park, and various monuments dedicated to Kyrgyz heroes like Manas. Head back to rest for the night.

    Bishkek to Suusamyr Valley

    After breakfast at the hotel, you'll head down to Suusamyr Valley in southern Kyrgyzstan, which is known for its excellent pastures. Spend the day walking around, taking photographs, and having an outdoor picnic lunch.

    Suusamyr Valley to Kochkor

    Drive out to Kochkor village in central Kyrgyzstan. You'll visit the Altyn Kol felt factory where you can actually help local craftswomen make traditional handmade felt carpets. The factory is run by a local women's association that creates and exports these handcrafted products throughout Kyrgyzstan and internationally.

  4. Day 4

    Kochkor to Son Kul Lake

    Following breakfast, travel to Son Kul Lake by way of Kalmak Ashu Pass. Along the route, you might see herds of yaks and get chances to take photos. You'll reach the yurt camp on the south shore by lunchtime. If you've arranged it ahead of time, there are horse games demonstrations available.

  5. Day 5

    Son Kul Lake to Tash Rabat

    This day involves crossing two high mountain passes. After breakfast, you'll climb to Moldo Ashu Pass at 3,225 m, which has a famous winding road, then drop down to Ak-Tala Valley for a picnic. From there, you'll cross Mels Pass at 3,420 m before arriving at Tash Rabat, an old Silk Road caravan lodge. You'll explore the site and learn about its historical importance.

    An early start takes you to Kok Kiya village near Kel Suu Lake. You'll collect packed lunch and then either hike or ride horses for 7 km to reach Kel Suu Lake. Explore the lake area and have an outdoor picnic lunch, then return to the yurt camp in Kok Kiya village for the night.

  8. Day 8

    Naryn to Issyk-Kul Lake

    After breakfast, head east through Eki-Naryn Valley, crossing several beautiful mountain passes before stopping at Jylu-Suu Valley for a picnic near the river. Continue through the mountains and over Tosor Pass at 4,000 m altitude, then descend to Issyk-Kul Lake, the world's second largest alpine lake. You'll arrive at Tamga village on the lake's south shore.

    Issyk-Kul Lake South Shore

    Check out the south shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. You'll visit Skazka Canyon and might see eagle hunting if weather allows. Stop in Kizil Tuu village for lunch and help a local family build a traditional nomadic yurt camp from scratch. Kyzyl Tuu is the yurt heartland where families handmake all yurt parts using traditional methods passed down through generations. Later, head to Tuz Kol for swimming and natural mud spa therapy, then swim in Issyk-Kul Lake before reaching your guesthouse in Kaji Sai.

    Karakol City Soviet Union Track

    Move down to Karakol city and start the Soviet Union Track adventure. Climb up to Altyn Arashan hot springs using the historic trail, then have lunch at a yurt camp. Bathe in the natural mineral hot springs and swim in the Ak Suu Kench mineral hot spring pool on your way back. In Karakol, there's an optional dinner with a Dungan family and a folklore concert by the local band Kylym if you book it in advance.

    Issyk-Kul Lake North Shore

    Take it easy at the north shore beach of Issyk-Kul Lake. Swim in the alpine lake with views of the snow-capped Kungoi Ala-Too and Teskei Ala-Too mountain ranges. There's an optional lake cruise available, and you can visit either the Rukh Ordo cultural complex or the Petroglyphs open-air museum based on what interests you.

    Boom Gorge to Bishkek

    After breakfast, drive to Boom Gorge where you have the option to go rafting on the Chon Kemin and Chu rivers. Visit Apamdy kattamasy, a popular spot with locals, to taste traditional Kyrgyz bread called Kattama and drink Samoor Chai Kyrgyz tea. Continue toward Bishkek, stopping at Burana Tower along the way. Shop for souvenirs at Osh Bazaar, have a farewell dinner, and return to your hotel.

    • For any tour departing before February 13th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after February 13th, 2026, a minimum payment of 20% is required to confirm your booking with Nomads Yurt. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
