Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
You'll arrive in Marrakech and settle in before the 6 pm welcome meeting. If you get there early, there's plenty to see around the city. Walk through Djemaa el-Fna square to watch the street performers and vendors, or check out the Koutoubia Mosque with its distinctive minaret. The Majorelle Gardens are also nearby if you want to wander through lush blue buildings and plant collections. After the meeting wraps up, you'll have dinner with your group.

- Day 2
Marrakech to Bou Tharar
Your private minibus heads out toward Bou Tharar village in the Atlas Mountains. When you arrive, local women greet you with Amazigh music and traditional singing, then you'll share a local meal together. Your home for the next few nights is a terracotta gite with views across the surrounding hills. The local family hosting you makes sure you're comfortable and well looked after from the start.

Bou Tharar to Agouti
This morning starts your four-day hiking adventure with a trek from Bou Tharar toward Agouti Village. Your guide is one of the region's first female guides, and she shares stories about the landscape and her own background with nomadic communities. You'll walk west through several villages and meet locals along the way. In the afternoon, you participate in a cooking demonstration where you learn how to make traditional couscous and other specialty dishes by hand.

Landmarks Agouti Village - Day 4
Agouti to Rbat Village
Start early with a walk through Agouti Gorge, where dramatic red rock walls striped with mineral deposits rise around you. From there, you cross through Almdoun Village and continue to Rbat Village. The route includes a river crossing where you'll likely roll up your trousers or take off your shoes. Once you arrive, a local woman shows you traditional weaving techniques, and then you have time to explore the village and chat with residents.

Rbat Village to Issoumar
Begin with a traditional Moroccan breakfast and learn to make khobz flatbread yourself. The trek takes you through Timtda village for a picnic lunch, then uphill 200 meters to Tissardan pass where you get expansive views across M'Goun Valley. After descending 300 meters to Issoumar village, the afternoon shifts toward culture. Local women share traditional folk tales with you and teach you some local music, so be ready to sing along.

Issoumar to Bou Tharar
You'll follow the M'Goun River back toward Bou Tharar, passing farmers working their land along the way. After lunch, visit the owners' barn to learn about traditional farming methods used in this region for centuries, and you get to help feed the animals. Later in the day, local women apply henna and kohl makeup for you. Then you head out to an Amazigh wedding celebration with dinner and spend the evening with local families sharing in their culture.

Bou Tharar to Marrakech
The drive back to Marrakech includes a stop at Ait Benhaddou, a thousand-year-old UNESCO World Heritage ksar made of mudbrick clay. You've probably seen this place in famous films. Once in Marrakech, Zineb, a local woman, cooks your dinner at her home and shares her own story of hard work and determination while you eat. Your final evening includes a performance by The Houariyates, a female music band that celebrates women with uplifting songs.
