Itinerary
- Day 1
Luang Prabang
You'll arrive at Luang Prabang International Airport where your guide and driver will be waiting to greet you. The drive to your hotel takes about 30 minutes, and you'll check in around 1:30 or 2:00 PM. After settling into your room, the rest of the day is yours to relax and get oriented. Meals aren't included today, so you can explore nearby restaurants or grab something casual in the hotel area.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang
If you're interested, there's an optional early morning alms giving ceremony where you can see saffron-robed monks up close, followed by a look at local markets before hotel breakfast. From there, you'll spend the morning visiting four key temples. Wat Visoun stands out for its impressive Thad Mak stupa, then you'll check out Wat Aham and the beautifully located Vat Xiengthong before moving to Wat Sene Souk Haram. After lunch, you'll tour the former Royal Palace, which now serves as the National Museum, and see Wat Mai's golden bas-reliefs. The evening is free for wandering through the night market on your own.

- Day 3
Mekong River - Ban Xang Khong
You'll take a ferry across to Ban Xiemienne village for a walking tour to experience daily village activities firsthand. Next, you'll head deeper into the jungle to visit Wat Long Khoun temple, which historically served as a retreat for Lao royalty. After that, a traditional long-tail boat takes you upstream on the Mekong River, passing through quiet rural scenery. The boat arrives at Pak Ou Caves, where two cave chambers hold hundreds of sacred Buddha statues. On the way back to Luang Prabang, you'll stop at Ban Xang Khong weaving village where you can try working the wooden looms alongside local artisans.

- Day 4
Kuang Si Waterfall
Following breakfast, the morning focuses on rice farming traditions with hands-on involvement. Local farmers will show you how rice grows and gets harvested, and you'll have the chance to help plant rice yourself and watch water buffalo working the paddies. You'll also learn about the different ways rice gets used in food and products. In the afternoon, you'll drive through green rice fields toward Kuang Si waterfall, where you can walk the trails, visit the bear rescue centre, and take in the turquoise pools. It's about an hour back to Luang Prabang afterward.

Departure from Luang Prabang
You'll have breakfast at your hotel, then the day is open until it's time to head to the airport for your flight home. Depending on your departure time, you might have time to grab a last coffee or do some final shopping before your driver takes you for your international flight.
