- Katie· October 30th, 2024I was in a group of five, at 81 probably the oldest Kiwi Experience participant you've ever had, but had a wonderful time because the group was warm and inclusive. Most of our group was not interested in white water rafting, bungie jumping, or zip lines but we enjoyed the rest. Our guide was friendly, helpful, and knew the countryside very well. I think he threw in a few little extras, lovely trails and viewpoints he had discovered, all close by and all quite wonderful. We enjoyed getting to know each other and parted friends.Show more
- Bilke· April 18th, 2024The tour itself was really nice and some of the extra activities were nice additions. However, the breakfast options were a bit limited if you can't eat yogurt, eggs or onions. The sleeping options were ok so far but no more. It was sometimes not possible to put your luggage in a room with four people without falling over it.Show more
- Zoltan· March 4th, 2024I participated in all the optional activities and the tour became one of the best ever. I strongly recommend to everyone to do everything! Don't save your money if you traveled through half of the globe. The included programmes are not enough, believe me. We saw so many beautiful places, especially in the south island. The bus was comfortable, we put the baggages into a separate trailer. The accomodations varied but all in all they were all good. I'll might come back one day!Show more

Asked on August 6th, 2025Will you be continuing this tour option in 2026? I believe this would be perfect for my trip.
- Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written August 2025
yes, we do have availability for the Southern Round Up HOHO pass in 2026 as well. What day are you looking to start your travel from Christchurch?

Traveler•Written August 2025I would like to start from Christchurch on April 10th. I was looking at your website and didn't see the Southern Round up listed. Would you send me a link to it? I did see the South & Sound tour. Which seems similar. I think that would work too. I am excited to do lots of tramping on my trip. I have reserved dates on the Kepler track, April 22-25. I am kind of working backwards from that. Would I be able to hop-off in Te Anua for that time and then hop-on on April 25th? Also, I would like to do some of the Abel Tasman Track. So, I would like to hop-off on the 2nd day (April 11th) and hop-on after 3 nights on the trail. Although, I may need an extra day because of time needed to get to the trailhead. If I can't start hiking that day. I may have to back everything up a day. About what time would we be arriving in Kaiteriteri?

Traveler•Written August 2025Is tour radar the same as Kiwi Experience?
- Kiwi ExperienceOperator•Written August 2025
we do have our bus scheduled on the website if you want to have a look at these. Please note that the Southern Round Up does not have the Milford Explorer included, therefore the bus to go to Te Anau. If you add the Milford Explorer, you can hop-off on our way back from Milford Sound. We have the following dates: 17th, 22nd, 24th, 26th. About Abel Tasman, we have a bus getting there on the 9th or on the 14th. The time we reach Kaiteri Lodge is around 5.00pm , depending on traffic and weather conditions. TourRadar is a platform, while Kiwi Experience is a bus tour company.
