Itinerary
- Day 1
Aswan
You'll arrive at Aswan Airport and get picked up by private vehicle heading straight to your dahabiya cruise ship. After getting settled in your cabin, there's lunch waiting on board. The afternoon takes you through Aswan's main sights: the High Dam (quite the engineering feat), the Unfinished Obelisk sitting in the granite quarries, and Philae Temple where you'll take a private boat out to see the temple dedicated to Isis. Back to the ship for the evening.

Edfu
Breakfast comes first on board while the ship heads toward Kom Ombo. You'll check out the double temple there, which has sections for both Haroeris the falcon god and Sobek the crocodile god, plus there's a museum with mummified crocodiles and sacred offerings to see. Lunch happens on the sun deck, and then the ship continues on toward Edfu. In Edfu, you'll ride in a traditional horse-drawn carriage through town and visit the Temple of Horus, which is one of the most intact temples remaining in Egypt with detailed carvings and historical inscriptions all over the walls. Dinner's back on the cruise.

Luxor
After breakfast on board in Luxor (which used to be the capital during the New Kingdom), you'll head out with a private Egyptologist guide to Karnak Temple. This is the largest religious complex that was ever built, and you'll walk through the Great Hypostyle Hall with its 134 enormous columns. Next is Luxor Temple, which started under Amenhotep III and got expanded by Ramses II, and it still has its impressive obelisk standing there. You'll head back to the dahabiya to spend some time relaxing on the sun deck afterward.

Luxor West Bank
Early start to Luxor's West Bank, where you'll explore the Valley of the Kings with its royal tombs carved into rock and filled with scenes from the Book of the Dead. Your standard ticket gets you into 3 tombs (pick from 10 options), though premium tombs cost extra like Tutankhamun around 700 EGP, Seti I at 2,000 EGP, and a couple others. After that you'll see the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Colossi of Memnon (there's also an optional early morning hot air balloon ride if you want it). Then transfer to Luxor International Airport for your flight out.
