Arrival in Dallas
You'll get picked up at Dallas airport and head straight to your hotel. This gives you time to settle in and get oriented before things really get going with your Texas trip.

Austin to San Antonio to Lafayette
Austin kicks off your journey with a short city tour that focuses on its music scene and history. From there, you'll drive to San Antonio to walk along the waterfront and see the Spanish Governor's Palace and Spanish Mission from the outside. The drive continues toward Lafayette, Louisiana covering about 450 km, so you'll have plenty of time to take in the landscape.

Houston to Lake Charles to Lafayette

Louisiana Swamps to Baton Rouge to New Orleans
This day takes you into Louisiana's marshlands on a boat trip through the swamps where alligators sometimes show up. You'll then see Baton Rouge's Old State Capitol building and visit Nottoway Plantation with its 64-room mansion from the Civil War era. By evening you'll reach New Orleans, where you can check out restaurants and nightlife. The total distance is about 250 km.

Jackson to Memphis
Memphis is your destination where you'll visit Graceland, the former home of Elvis Presley, now a museum about the rock 'n' roll legend. Dallas to Fort Worth
Your morning is yours to do as you please. In the afternoon, you'll get a city tour of Dallas that covers the historic West End district and the striking Old Red Museum with its castle-like exterior, plus the Dallas Morning Newspaper building. Then you'll head to Fort Worth to experience the Wild West at Fort Worth Stock Yards, an authentic old neighborhood. Weather permitting, you might see a herd of cattle driven through town twice daily. The distance between cities is only 51 km.
