Arrival in Edinburgh
You'll arrive in Edinburgh and head to your hotel on your own. That evening, meet up with the tour group for dinner at the hotel so everyone can get to know each other before the trip officially starts.

Edinburgh
After breakfast, take a short train or bus ride into Edinburgh's city center for an orientation tour. You'll see the medieval Old Town and modern New Town, then visit Edinburgh Castle and climb Calton Hill for views across the city. The rest of the day is yours to explore on your own, and your guide is around if you need tips on where to go.

Edinburgh to Oban
Following breakfast, travel toward Oban with a stop at Stirling Castle to walk around this historic Scottish stronghold. Then stop at Loch Lomond and hike up Conic Hill to see the long stretch of water below. By evening you'll reach the coastal town of Oban, check into your Victorian hotel, and have dinner at the hotel restaurant.

- Day 4
Isle of Mull Day Trip
Leave Oban early for a ferry crossing to the Isle of Mull with coastal views along the way. Drive to Tobermory and its colorful waterfront, then hike to the lighthouse through rolling hills. Spend the afternoon wandering around Tobermory, grabbing coffee at cafés or checking out local shops. Take the ferry back to Oban in the evening and have the rest of the day to yourself.

Glencoe to Fort William
Hike the West Highland Way through one of the Highlands' most dramatic valleys. The main route takes you up the Devil's Staircase, a winding path to Loch Leven with mountain views and ocean vistas, or you can choose an easier valley hike with clear paths. You'll finish the day in Fort William, which sits at the gateway to the Highlands and islands.

Fort William
You have several choices today depending on what appeals to you. Strong hikers can climb Ben Nevis, Scotland's highest mountain, if weather allows. Otherwise, hop on the iconic Jacobite Train (the 'Harry Potter train') through the Highlands to the Atlantic coast, or visit the Isle of Skye if the group decides on that. Your evening is free to relax or grab dinner wherever you like.

Fort William to Pitlochry
See Loch Ness and check out the Falls of Foyers, where water drops nearly 30 meters depending on how much rain there's been. Walk along the Great Glen Way toward Inverness for a quick look at the Highlands' capital. Later, you'll bus to Pitlochry in Perthshire, a small town that sits between Loch Faskally and the River Tummel, near Cairngorms National Park.

- Day 8
Pitlochry
Drive to Blair Athol Distillery for a guided tour and whisky tasting to learn about Scottish distilling traditions. In the afternoon, hike to the Black Spout waterfall on an easy walk through nice natural scenery. After that, the rest of the day is yours to do whatever you want.

Pitlochry
Begin your hike in Blair Atholl following the River Tilt through green meadows with Highland peaks on either side. You'll see stony outcrops along the river. After hiking, there's a chance to visit Blair Atholl Castle if you're interested. You'll head back to the hotel for an afternoon rest, then gather for a final dinner together to wrap up the trip.

Departure from Edinburgh
