Itinerary
- Day 1
Dublin
Your plane touches down in Dublin by 1 PM, and you'll get that warm Irish greeting right away. From there, a panoramic tour takes you through the city's different periods and neighborhoods, from the busy shopping areas on the north side to the refined Georgian squares down south. You'll stop for photos along the way, then visit St. Patrick's Cathedral before heading to your hotel in County Kildare for the evening.

Wicklow
Spend a full day in Wicklow, known as the Garden of Ireland. Start at Powerscourt Estate where you can walk through Italian and Japanese gardens spread across the grounds. After that, you'll head to Glendalough, a monastery complex tucked between two lakes in a valley. There's plenty to see here, with early Christian buildings dating back to the 8th through 12th centuries that you can explore on your own.

Kilkenny to Cork
This day takes you south through Irish history, beginning in Kilkenny where you'll check out the castle and cathedral. From there, head to the Rock of Cashel, a 60-meter high site with dramatic ruins showing over 1000 years of early Christian history. You'll arrive in Cork as the sun sets.

Bantry and Garinish Island
Head southwest to where the Gulf Stream brings tropical plants to Irish shores. Bantry House is your first stop, with an art collection and Italian-style gardens overlooking Bantry Bay. Stop along the way for tea and scones, then take a trip out to Garinish Island to see a garden that was created from bare rock into something quite special.

Ring of Kerry
Travel the Ring of Kerry, one of Ireland's most scenic routes, with constantly changing views of mountains, coast, and sea. Grab an Irish coffee during the day, then visit a sheep farm to watch the herding dogs work. Later, drive through Killarney National Park where you have the option to walk through the Muckross House gardens if you have time.

- Day 6
Dingle Peninsula
Head to Dingle Peninsula, an area filled with early Christian sites and vibrant fuchsia hedges in bloom. Walk through the fishing town of Dingle with its colorful buildings and shops, then visit the Gallarus Oratory, one of the best-preserved early Christian structures from Ireland. Built without mortar and still completely watertight after all these centuries.

Cliffs of Moher and Doolin
Cross the Shannon Estuary by car ferry, then make your way to the Cliffs of Moher rising 214 meters above the water. Continue to Doolin for the evening where you'll experience traditional Irish music in an intimate living room setting with local musicians Christy and Sheila. The concert includes salmon, cheese, and wine.

Galway
Drive to Galway, Ireland's youthful port city and university town. You'll have time to explore the area at your own pace, wandering through its lively streets and checking out historic sites. This is the gateway to the northwest, and the city has that character and energy it's known for.

Kilbeggan to Dublin
Head east toward Dublin and stop in Kilbeggan to visit the Kilbeggan Distillery, founded in 1757 and the world's oldest licensed whiskey distillery. Walk through the original equipment and water wheels, take a guided tour of the distillation process, and sample some whiskey. Return to Dublin in the evening for a farewell dinner at your hotel.
