    Arrival in Tokyo

    You'll arrive in Tokyo and meet your driver in the arrival hall for a private transfer to your hotel. This gives you time to settle in and get oriented after your flight.

    Tokyo

    Start your morning with a small-group tour of Tsukiji Market where you'll sample fresh sushi and sake. From there, head to Akihabara to browse anime shops and electronics stores. Later, you'll visit the historic Sensoji Temple before trying ninja training and dining at a ninja-themed cafe.

    Take an excursion to the Mt. Fuji area and visit Lake Kawaguchi in the resort town of Fujikawaguchiko. Ride the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway up to Kawaguchiko Tenjozan Park for observation decks and views of the surrounding landscape. Later, head to Oshino Hakkai to see the eight crystal-clear natural springs.

    Travel to Matsumoto and walk through the beautifully preserved original castle with its distinctive black architecture. Continue on to Takayama and explore the former government office complex of Takayama Jinya, which includes period rooms and a historic rice storehouse museum.

    Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Shirakawa-go to see traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses. Then head to Kanazawa where you'll explore the restored castle grounds, take a stroll through Kenrokuen Garden, and wander the historic Higashi Chaya geisha district.

    Kanazawa to Kyoto

    Travel by bullet train from Kanazawa to Tsuruga, which takes about 45 minutes. After that, change to another bullet train heading to Kyoto for approximately 52 minutes. Private transfers are arranged between the train stations to help with the transitions.

  8. Day 8

    Kyoto

    In Kyoto, cross the scenic Togetsukyo Bridge in Arashiyama and participate in a traditional kimono fitting and tea ceremony where you'll make your own matcha tea. Walk through the serene Sagano Bamboo Forest, and if interested, you can add a professional 1-hour photoshoot session to capture the experience.
