Marseille to Arles
You'll meet at Marseille airport and get transferred to Arles, where the Emerald Cruises Star-Ship becomes your home base. Once you're on board, there's a welcome reception and dinner to kick things off, so you'll have a chance to meet the other guests and settle in.

Arles
This morning starts with a guided tour of Roman Arles, focusing on the UNESCO-listed Amphitheatre that's been standing for about 2,000 years. You'll also hear about Vincent van Gogh's connection to the city. After the tour ends, the rest of the day is yours to wander around at your own pace.

Avignon
Walking through Avignon with a guide, you'll see the fortified town where seven Popes lived back in the 1300s. The Gothic Palais des Papes is the main draw, along with other UNESCO sites scattered throughout. By evening, there's a classical concert scheduled, so you'll head back for that cultural experience.

Lyon

After leaving the ship, you travel by road to Beaune, which sits in the heart of Burgundy's wine region. The main stop is the Hospices de Beaune, a perfectly preserved 15th-century building that hosts one of France's most well-known wine auctions each year.

Lyon to Paris
Following breakfast, you say goodbye to the Star-Ship and head to the train station. The ride to Paris takes a few hours, and then you check into your hotel for the next two nights in the city.

Paris
A local guide walks you through Paris' highlights, so you'll see Notre Dame Cathedral and the Arc de Triomphe. Later in the day, you get a cruise down the Seine River before finishing up at the Eiffel Tower as the sun starts to set.
