Itinerary
- Day 1
Bangalore
You'll land in Bangalore and get oriented to India's tech hub right away. After settling in, head to the city center to see how modern and traditional areas blend together. Tipu Sultan's palace complex gives you a sense of the region's royal history, and then you can spend the afternoon walking through Lal Bagh gardens where there's a nice collection of botanical specimens spread across the grounds.

Bangalore to Mysore
Early start toward Mysore with a stop in Somanathapura to check out the Hoysala-era Vishnu Temple, which has that distinctive star-shaped design and lots of detailed stone carving throughout. The palace there blends what the Maharajas wanted with English design elements, so it's quite different from what you saw earlier in the day.

Mysore to Hassan
Begin with Srirangapatnam, where you'll tour the fortress city and Tipu Sultan's summer palace. Later you'll head to Sravanabelgola, a major Jaina pilgrimage site. The main attraction here is the monolithic Bahubali statue carved from a single stone, which holds significant spiritual importance. You'll wrap up the day traveling to Hassan for the night.

Hassan to Hampi

Hampi to Badami
Finish exploring Hampi's archaeological complex, then travel to Aihole and Pattadakal. These Chalukya-era sites date from the 6th to 8th centuries. Aihole was the capital and contains India's oldest dated stone temple, while Pattadakal served as the sacred coronation center. You'll end the day in Badami for the night.

Badami to Bijapur
