Itinerary
- Day 1
Frankfurt to Jeddah
Your flight departs Frankfurt heading to Jeddah on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast. Once you land, someone will meet you and take you to your hotel for the night. It's a travel day, so you'll settle in and rest up before things get going tomorrow.

Jeddah to Medina
Start in Jeddah by walking through the fish market where vendors process fresh catches every day. From there, you'll head into Al Balad old town and find a local tea room to relax with some tea. Then wander through Al Alawi Souk with its colorful stalls. Later in the afternoon, catch the high-speed train to Medina, one of Islam's two holiest cities. An orientation tour helps you get familiar with the city's history and traditions.

Medina to al-Ula (Desert Camp)
Take a city tour through Medina to see important mosques and get views from Mount Uhud. Stop in Khaybar next, where you'll see a historic fortress sitting on an elevated lava plateau. Continue on to al-Ula and check into your desert camp. As the sun sets, head out to see Elephant Rock, then settle in with Saudi champagne and a barbecue dinner around an open fire.

al-Ula
Spend the day at Madain Saleh, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with rock tombs carved into sandstone cliffs. Grab lunch at Habitas al-Ula Camp overlooking the desert landscape. Visit Maraya Concert Hall and walk through the old town with its mud-brick houses and souk. After that, explore the natural rock formations in the Madachil and Gharamil areas.

Drive through the Nefud Desert with stops to photograph Bedouin families. Find 10,000-year-old rock paintings at Jebel Umm Sanman in Jubbah showing people, birds, and monkeys. The local museum there has information on ancient customs and medical equipment. End the evening with dinner in Hail.

Finish in Buraidah and visit the Al Qassim camel market, the world's largest one, watching traders work out their deals. Have dinner at your hotel.

Riyadh

Walk through the old town of ad-Dira with its narrow streets, Masmak Fort, and al-Zar Souk. Finish the day on Riyadh City Boulevard enjoying the modern energy, then gather for a farewell dinner reflecting on your trip.
