Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
Your driver picks you up from the airport and drives you to your riad in Marrakech's Medina. After settling in, you'll have hot Moroccan tea and time to walk around the old city to get a feel for the atmosphere and layout.

Marrakech
This morning you can join an optional guided tour from 10:00 to 14:00 if you'd like. The guide takes you through the Medina to see the Mosque of Koutoubia, the souks, Ben Youssef Koranic school, Saadian Tombs, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. You'll stay another night in Marrakech.

Marrakech to Dades Gorges
You'll leave around 08:30 heading toward Dades Gorges. The drive takes you over Tizi-n-Tichka pass and through High Atlas Berber villages. You'll stop at UNESCO World Heritage Kasbah Ait Benhaddou and explore the Roses and Dades valley. After lunch near the Kasbah, you visit Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate before settling in for the night in Dades Gorges.

Dades Gorges to Merzouga
After breakfast, you head out for approximately four hours to reach Merzouga. Along the way you stop in Tinghir to walk through the Todra oasis and canyons, then pass through Erfoud and Rissani. By late afternoon you meet a camel caravan and take an hour-long ride through Erg Chebbi Dunes at sunset. Your night is spent at a desert camp.

Merzouga to Fes
After breakfast you depart via Rissani to see the local souk, then drive through Ziz valley with its millions of palm trees toward Errachidia. The route takes you through Ziz gorges and into the Middle Atlas Mountains. You stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue through the cedar forest of Azrou where you can photograph Barbary monkeys. Before arriving in Fes by evening, you'll see Ifrane, known as the small Switzerland of Morocco.

Fes
Starting with breakfast at your riad, you spend the day walking through Fes, the oldest city in Morocco. You'll see the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter from the 14th century, Al Qaraouine University which is the oldest in the world, the Tanneries, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch you visit the tiles cooperative and get panoramic views over the Medina. You stay at the same riad.

Meknes - Volubilis - Chefchaouen
Early after breakfast you head to Meknes to see the impressive medina. You tour the 17th century walls with monumental gates like Berdaine Bab and Bab Khemis, then explore the stables and stud. Next you visit Moulay Ismail Mausoleum and exit through Bab Mansour onto the vast square Hedim. From there you go to the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis with 2000-year-old remains. Later you arrive in Chefchaouen, the blue city, for the night.

Rabat - Casablanca
After breakfast you have time to explore Chefchaouen on your own, checking out the Square of Outa Hamam and the blue streets. You'll break for lunch at a Moroccan restaurant of your choice. Then you head toward Rabat to see its highlights before continuing to Casablanca, Morocco's economic capital. You'll spend the night at a hotel in Casablanca.

This morning includes a tour around Casablanca where you visit the Mosque of Hassan II from the outside. You spend some time at the Corniche along the seaboard, then drive back to Marrakech. You'll stay the night at a riad or hotel in Marrakech.
