Itinerary
- Day 1
Kathmandu
You'll arrive in Kathmandu and spend the day exploring Nepal's capital. Head to Swayambhunath, known as the Monkey Temple, and Boudhanath Stupa, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites with their own character and history. Walk through local bazaars to get a feel for daily life, and try some traditional Nepali food while you're at it. If you have energy in the afternoon, the historical Durbar Squares are worth a visit too. You'll stay overnight in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu to Lukla
An early start from Thamel around 1:30am gets you to Ramechhap airport by 6:30am for your scenic flight to Lukla. Once there, you'll begin trekking along the Dudh Kosi River trail, passing through traditional Sherpa villages decorated with colorful prayer flags and crossing suspension bridges. The walk takes you through pine forests, and you'll end up in Phakding village for the night.

Phakding to Namche Bazaar
You'll trek along the Dudh Kosi River valley with a gradual climb through changing landscapes. Keep an eye out for Himalayan Tahr and colorful bird species, while Thamserku and Kusum Kanguru peaks come into view. By afternoon you'll reach Namche Bazaar, the main trading hub and base for Everest access. The Saturday market has local crafts and souvenirs if you're interested, and the Everest View Hotel offers great panoramic views from higher up. You'll overnight in Namche Bazaar as your body adjusts to the altitude.

- Day 4
Namche Bazaar
This day focuses on letting your body adjust to the higher altitude around Namche Bazaar. You'll hike up to the Everest View Hotel at 3,880m/12,730ft to catch sunrise and see Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam from a new angle. This short hike helps prepare you for the higher sections ahead. Later in the day, head to Namche Bazaar Monastery to learn about Sherpa spiritual practices. Another night in Namche Bazaar.

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
The trek takes you through rhododendron forests with prayer flags lining the path. You might see Himalayan Monal birds and musk deer if you're lucky. As elevation increases, the big Himalayan peaks start filling the landscape. You'll arrive at Tengboche village sitting at 3,867 meters/12,687 feet, where the Tengboche Monastery has impressive courtyards, prayer wheels, and Buddhist artwork. The views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and surrounding mountains are excellent from here. You'll stay in a lodge in Tengboche.

- Day 6
Tengboche to Dingboche
You'll climb through alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers during spring, with dramatic snow-capped peaks and glaciers appearing above. The environment shifts into true high mountain terrain where staying hydrated and continuing acclimatization matter more. Dingboche is your destination, a small village surrounded by mountain views. You'll stay at a traditional Sherpa lodge and use the afternoon to walk around or just rest and take in the scenery while your body continues adjusting.

Landmarks Dingboche - Day 7
Dingboche to Lukla
You'll head back down the same trail toward Lukla, retracing your steps but seeing the landscapes from a different perspective on the way down. Take photos of valleys, glaciers, and the snowy peaks as vegetation becomes greener and air gets warmer with each step lower. You'll pass through Namche Bazaar again where there's time to check out shops or grab coffee at a local cafe. By evening you'll be back in Lukla, finishing your Everest View Trek and spending the night there.

Lukla to Kathmandu
The scenic flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu offers final views of the Himalayas from above as the landscape transforms during your descent toward the Kathmandu Valley. After landing, you can spend time exploring more of Kathmandu's cultural sites or shopping for souvenirs before your departure. It's a chance to reflect on the trek and pick up anything you might have missed earlier.

Landmarks Lukla Kathmandu - Day 9
Kathmandu Departure
Your trek concludes today. After breakfast at your Kathmandu hotel, you'll go through departure formalities with assistance from the tour representative who'll arrange your airport transfer. You'll head back home with memories of the mountain views, Sherpa culture, and personal achievements from the Everest View Trek.
