The Morocco part of this tour was the best. The Spain and Portugal component had so many guides and groups tapping in and out that it was very impersonal. Our luggage got destroyed on one of the bus trips and no one would help us with even getting a formal report for our insurance company. We are still waiting!!! On the last day our group was so scattered that we didn’t even get a chance to say good buy. This was really sad. The hotels in Lisbon and Madrid were very far from the Centre.

If you speak Spanish and love lots of noise and smokers every time the bus stops plus a very full bus with hop ons and hop offs then do this tour with Europamundo. I speak only English and found a bi lingual tour a bit off putting. At one stage it was Tri lingual!!!! It was super fast paced and very full on. You get a brief glance of a lot of places but very little time to enjoy them. our tour guide for Morocco Soushi was fantastic he really is a great guide and highly recommend him as was our driver. Europamundo is a very tightly run and streamlined operator, they have it all stitched up and it may seem at times chaotic but they pull it off. Accommodation was always out of town which was due to the fact they want a quick departure. They did run the bus into the towns / cities so you could spend a few hrs there. Hotels were good mainly tourist class and breakfasts were good. So think or choose another tour company if your only language is English. Be warned Europamundo is NOT the only company that runs tours this way. I was not told that my tour would be bi lingual nor full of hop ons and hop offs at each major destination it is a good itinerary and covers all the key spots and well run. It would have been nice to know before hand that it is run this way I would have done things differently or just small sections only Enjoy your travels wherever they may take you.

Our Spain Portugal Morocco trip was long on bus travel time daily, covered a lot of ground and spent small amounts of time in the cities. Our travel guide in Spain was marginal at best failing to inform travelers of the most basic information. Our travel guide in Morocco, Hassan, was phenomenal. He explained everything we would see, do and how it would happen. He was very attentive to our safety and comfort as a group. Our time spent in Morocco was much more enjoyable because of him. Europa Mundo appears to have no problem taking a group of travelers, dropping them off in a new city and expecting them to find their way back to the hotel without giving any advice on which areas may be interesting to explore or which areas to avoid. this happened several times on this excursion.

Don't take this tour if you speak (only) English. Though this tour is advertised in various places as "English" or "English and Spanish" it's not. During the Morocco leg, the tour guide who accompanied the bus did not speak fluent English. He was barely able to speak basic English. He did not understand most questions. And this guide was responsible for describing what we were seeing and doing (and why it mattered) as well as handling responsibilities like communicating meeting times - for a multiple-day tour. He would spend significant chunks of time telling stories about Morocco in Spanish, but when it came time to describe it to English speakers, he would spend a minute or two reading from a Wikipedia article. I could have saved my money and read from my phone. Another example: we had a dinner in the Sahara, and for about half an hour the host gave a speech in Spanish about the stars, (apparently) pointing out the constellations. There was no attempt to translate any of this into English. The English speakers just sat around looking at each other. At another point the tour guide told us lunch was "free" when he meant lunch was "a la carte." If one of the bilingual guests hadn't told me otherwise, I might have left the restaurant without paying. The other guests who spoke English and Spanish ended up translating meeting times and other important information for the handful of us who spoke only English ("We meet in the lobby at 8." "We have forty minutes at this stop.") That should never have been their responsibility. I spent most of this tour frustrated, not knowing what we were doing, and afraid I was going to miss a meeting time. I have little understanding of anything I saw. When I shared my concerns with Europamundo, I never received a response. The parts of the tour that took place in Spain and Portugal employed competent tour guides.
