Itinerary
- Day 1
Izmir
You'll arrive at Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport, and if your flight gets in early enough, there's a historical walking tour available. Starting from Kadifekale castle, you'll get panoramic views of the city and work your way through historic neighborhoods like Patlicanli Yokus. Along the route you'll see Smyrna Theater, Izmir Mevlevihane, and Smyrna Agora. After grabbing lunch at Abacaoglu Han, the tour continues through Bet Hilal Synagogue, Ismet Inönü Memorial House, and Salepcaoglu Mosque before ending at Konak Square. Your evening is free, so you can find dinner wherever appeals to you.

Nazarköy to Birgi
After breakfast you'll head to Nazarköy village for a glass bead workshop where you can try traditional bead-making, then have breakfast in the workshop garden. Next comes the challenging 2nd stage of the Efeler Route, a 10 km hike taking about 5 hours with steep sections through forest trails and two water sources along the way. You'll finish in Yukarıkızılca (known for cherries) where you'll stamp your Efeler Route passport. From there it's a transfer to Birgi, an old Ottoman village where you're staying the night. Dinner is on your own.

Birgi to Lübbeÿ
After breakfast, make sure to stamp your passport in Birgi before heading to Çobanlar for the 9th stage of the Efeler Route. This easier 6 km trail drops from 780 meters down to 280 meters over 3 hours and brings you to Lübbey, a village that sat abandoned for 30 years but is now being revived. You'll have lunch there and listen to the owner of Lübbey Boutique Hotel talk about the village's history. A vehicle will take you back to Birgi for the night, and dinner is free.

Bozdağ to Sirince
After breakfast, you'll transfer to Bozdağ for the 11th stage of the Efeler Route, departing at 9:00 AM. Start with morning coffee at a village café before tackling this easy 7 km hike through a chestnut forest, which takes about 6 hours with gentle ups and downs. Lunch happens in Odemis and features the area's famous Töngül pizza. Then it's a transfer to Sirince, a former Greek village where you'll spend the night. Your evening meal is free to choose.

Sirince to Selcuk
After breakfast and checking out, you'll depart at 9:00 AM for the final Efeler Route stage. The hike starts steep and continues through forest trails until you reach Çamlık village, where a vehicle takes you to the Meryemana trail entrance. From there you'll hike through olive groves and forest paths to the House of the Virgin Mary, where you'll stamp the final page of your passport. After that, it's a transfer to Selçuk for your last night. Dinner is free.
