- Day 1
Overnight Flight to Sri Lanka
You'll board your overnight flight to Sri Lanka. Keep in mind the flight isn't part of your tour package, so you'll arrange that separately.
- Day 2
Colombo to Negombo
Your private guide meets you when you land in Colombo. After handling immigration and customs, it's about a 30-minute drive to Negombo (15 km away). Hotel check-in typically happens between 12:00 and 14:00, though early check-in can be sorted if you arrive sooner. Breakfast comes whenever you're ready based on your arrival time.

- Day 3
Negombo to Dambulla
Following breakfast, you'll drive toward Dambulla, a journey of about 2.5 to 3 hours covering 130 km. After checking into your hotel, the afternoon brings a jeep safari in either Kaudulla or Minneriya National Park. You're likely to see elephants roaming naturally, plus various birds like storks, pelicans, and cormorants before heading back.

Dambulla to Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa

Then it's on to Polonnaruwa, about 70 km and 2.5 hours away, exploring UNESCO ruins with palaces, temples, and detailed stone carvings.

Dambulla to Knuckles Mountains
Start at Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO site with rock-cut caves filled with Buddhist art and sculptures. From there, the winding roads take you through Knuckles mountain range forests. Stop at Moragahakanda reservoir for sweeping views. The full stretch covers 80 km in about 2.5 hours.

Knuckles Mountains Hike to Kandy
At 09:30, your guided hike through Knuckles Mountains begins from Madakumbura village. You'll walk past terraced rice fields, waterfalls, small villages, and tea plantations. Swimming stops in natural pools break things up nicely. Later, drive to Kandy (95 km, roughly 3 hours) and visit the Temple of Tooth Relics.
