Itinerary
- Day 1
Sydney to Canberra
You'll leave Sydney and head through the Southern Highlands, taking in the landscape as you make your way to Gold Creek Station. There you'll get a feel for farm life and have lunch with a local sheep farmer at Be My Guest BBQ, hearing stories about the area. From there, continue on to Canberra and walk the Parliament House grounds or take yourself through on a self-guided tour to see how the building's laid out.

Canberra to Wangaratta
Start early at Mt. Ainslie where you'll take in views across Canberra from up high. Then head into the High Country toward Beechworth, a town that kept its gold rush character intact. You'll meet the local pub owner who shares stories about the place, and later have afternoon tea at the oldest hotel in town. After that, continue on to Wangaratta as evening approaches.

Travel toward Melbourne and get a city tour that covers the culture and sporting heritage of the place. Spend time on a guided tour at the Koorie Heritage Trust gallery, then use the afternoon to find those hidden parts of Melbourne like jazz bars, restaurants, and smaller galleries tucked around the city.

You'll have the day to explore Melbourne however you like. Hop on the trams and check out neighborhoods like Brunswick or St. Kilda. If you're up for it, you can go to the top of Eureka Tower at the Melbourne Skydeck for views over the bay, do a History and Donuts Walking Tour through the streets, or head out to Phillip Island to watch little penguins come ashore at dusk.
