- Janice· July 9th, 2025Our guide, Killian, was great! Overall, the accommodations were perfect, except tub/showers were very deep and difficult to maneuver. Tour could have been one day shorter---or included Cork.Show more

Asked on May 7th, 2025I'm looking to book 2026. I'm looking to see active volcanism if possible and the Northern Lights.
- On The Go ToursOperator•Written May 2025
The Northern Lights are in the northern sky from September through April but are only visible when the sky is clear and free of clouds. While Iceland is known for its volcanic activity, with eruptions occurring on average every 5 years, there's no active eruption currently taking place. The most recent eruption on the Reykjanes Peninsula started on April 1, 2025, but it has since slowed significantly, and there's no visible activity.
