You'll arrive in Marseille by 3 pm and get onboard your suite ship by 5 pm. After settling into your cabin, dinner is served while the ship stays docked overnight in Arles.

Arles
In Arles, you have three activity options with your Adventure Host: a power walk through the city, a painting workshop learning Van Gogh techniques, or a guided walking tour of the Roman Amphitheater. Later, there's free time at Le Café Van Gogh before sailing to Avignon. The evening brings live jazz band entertainment onboard.

Arles to Viviers to Tournon
The ship sails to Viviers where you'll pick between hiking up to the hilltop Cathedral with your Adventure Host or taking a guided walking tour through pale-stone buildings and the Old Town. Before sailing to Tournon, there's a local specialties tasting onboard.

Tournon to Vienne
Start in Tournon choosing between a morning hike or guided walking tour of the medieval city with its 16th-century castle and Roman ruins. Then sail to Vienne with live jazz playing. You'll explore Vienne's hilltop attractions including the cathedral and Roman sites. Free time is available later for the famous Vienne Jazz Festival.

A guided sightseeing tour takes you across Fourvière Hill to see the churches, then through Old Town's medieval alleyways and Place des Terreaux with its fountain. During free time, you can bike through Lyon's squares, over bridges, and along the Rhône and Saône rivers. Gypsy jazz entertainment plays this evening before sailing to Tournus.

The day takes you to Beaune to visit the Hôtel-Dieu Charity Hospital from 1443, where you'll see Van der Weyden's Last Judgment painting. Later, a high-speed train goes from Dijon to Paris, then you board your suite ship and sail overnight to Vernon.

A traditional French crêpes lunch and pastry demonstration happen while sailing to Les Andelys. There, you can either hike to Château Gaillard or take a guided walking tour of this Seine town.

Spend independent time wandering or relaxing over wine in a Left Bank café.
