Lyon to Tournus
You'll arrive in Lyon by 2 pm and head straight to the river cruise ship for boarding. Make sure you're on deck by 5 pm when the ship departs. Your first night anchors in Tournus, so you'll have time to settle into your cabin and get oriented before dinner.

Tournus
A local guide takes you through Tournus, one of Burgundy's oldest monastic centers, walking the charming streets and historic sites. You can choose to visit a Chardonnay wine cellar or the Castle of Cormatin if either appeals to you. Back on board later, there's a cheese tasting where you'll try local selections from the region.

The ship sails to Lyon this morning and you pick your activity: either bike along the riverbanks where the Rhone and Saone rivers meet, or join a guided tour of Fourvier Hill and the Old Town. During the afternoon, attend a WWII and French Resistance lecture on board, then enjoy live entertainment after dinner.

Viviers
A guided walking tour shows you Tournon, a medieval city with its 16th-century castle standing prominently. After lunch you'll sail to Viviers for a late afternoon tour of this charming village with pale-stone buildings and its Romanesque cathedral. Live entertainment happens on board before the evening cruise to Avignon.

Avignon
