Calgary
You'll arrive in Calgary this afternoon. Your tour director will be on hand later to answer questions and help you get situated for the week ahead.
- Day 2
Calgary to Banff
Start with a city tour covering downtown Calgary, Fort Calgary, Stampede Park, the Saddledome, and Canada Olympic Park. Later you'll head west into the Canadian Rockies and Banff National Park for a two-night stay, with an orientation tour when you arrive.

Banff
Banff is yours to explore today. The area has plenty of summer activities like hiking, boating, horseback riding, and fishing. Your tour director can point you toward specific trails and activities, or you can book an optional helicopter ride if you want to see the Rockies from above.

Banff to Jasper
You'll drive north through the Canadian Rockies, taking in the dramatic gorges, snowy peaks, and turquoise lakes along the way. Stop at Lake Louise, ride the Ice Explorer across the 750-foot-thick Columbia Icefield, then continue to Jasper with several stops to soak in the views. An optional river float on the Athabasca River is available if you're interested.

Jasper
Today's free in Jasper, so you can choose how to spend it. Consider a narrated cruise on Maligne Lake to see Spirit Island, take a guided hike, browse local shops, or try spotting wildlife around the area.

Jasper to Prince George
After leaving Jasper, you'll follow the Fraser River to the base of Mount Robson, Canada's highest Rockies peak. Then continue on to Prince George, where you'll spend the night.

Prince George to Prince Rupert
Board VIA Rail's Skeena train for a full day of daylight travel through the Coast Mountains. The route follows the Skeena River and ancient First Nations trading paths, so keep an eye out for bald eagles, black bears, moose, and other wildlife. You'll arrive in Prince Rupert for a two-night stay.

Prince Rupert
Start with an orientation tour of Prince Rupert. Then visit the North Pacific Historic Fishing Village, a national historic site, for a guided tour of British Columbia's oldest cannery village and learn about the canning process and life during production years. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore on your own.

Prince Rupert to Port Hardy
Early this morning you'll board a ship for one of the world's great ocean voyages through the Inside Passage. The scenery includes towering mountains, waterfalls, countless islands, and rainforests. Watch for sea lions, porpoises, and possibly killer whales. Late evening you'll arrive in Port Hardy.

Port Hardy to Victoria
You'll depart Port Hardy early and travel down the eastern coast of Vancouver Island through Campbell River, known as the Salmon Capital of the World. Stop in Chemainus to see the village's distinctive murals showing pioneer settlement. Late afternoon brings you to Victoria.

Victoria
Morning sightseeing covers the Inner Harbour, Bastion Square, and Thunderbird Park with its totem pole collection. After that, the day is yours. You might try high tea at the Empress Hotel, check out the Royal British Columbia Museum, or take an optional trip to Butchart Gardens with its 55 acres of flowers. A waterfront walk in the evening is worth doing.

You'll sail across the Strait of Georgia through the Gulf Islands, which have a Mediterranean-like climate. Late afternoon arrival brings you to Vancouver.

The morning includes a city tour of Stanley Park, Chinatown, the harbour, and beaches. After that, the rest of the day is open. Take a water taxi to Granville Island for outdoor markets and waterfront cafes, or walk through historic Gastown with its steam-powered clock, antique shops, galleries, and street vendors.
