This town sits on the southern shore and serves as the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park and Perito Moreno Glacier. - Day 7
El Chaltén
You have a free day to hike. The main option is Laguna de los Tres, a 10.2 km trail (about 5 hours without stops) starting from San Martín street with marked signs. Or arrange a taxi to Hostería el Pilar and take a different route through Glaciar Piedras Blancas and Laguna Capri. Either way, you'll reach 1,170 meters and see Mount Fitz Roy and a turquoise lake.

Travel by bus to El Calafate airport and fly to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. The rest of the day is free to explore. Check out old colonial houses, the Museum of the End of the World, and the Maritime Museum in the former penitentiary building.
