Christchurch to Timaru
You'll arrive in Christchurch before 10:30 AM and take a coach transfer down to Timaru. Once you board the Scenic Eclipse II, your butler will help you settle into your verandah suite. After you've got your bearings and checked out the ship's facilities, head up to the Sky Bar to toast the voyage as the yacht pulls away from New Zealand.

Stewart Island (Rakiura)
Today you're exploring Stewart Island, sitting about 30 kilometres off New Zealand's South Island. The island has brown kiwi birds, some great scenery, and the small village of Oban. You can choose from a few different guided activities like checking out Paterson Inlet, visiting the wildlife sanctuary at Ulva Island, or just walking around to see what the island has to offer.

Milford Sound, Fiordland
You'll cruise through Fiordland National Park on the Scenic Eclipse II, heading into Milford Sound where granite peaks and deep fjords surround you. Waterfalls drop from 1,000-metre cliffs, and you might see seals lounging on rocks. Grab a cocktail on the Observation Terrace and soak in the views from there.

Doubtful Sound and Dusky Sound
The ship navigates close to the craggy cliffs in Doubtful Sound while you watch for bottlenose dolphins and Fiordland Crested Penguins. Later you'll head south to Dusky Sound, one of New Zealand's biggest fjords at 40 kilometres long. This spot is so remote that only air or sea can reach it, and tourists rarely make it out here.

Today is yours to spend however you like. Have breakfast in your suite on the verandah or join a yoga or Pilates class. Akaroa
You arrive at Akaroa, New Zealand's only French settlement from the 1840s. Walk around and see the French street names, cottages with Gallic charm, and cheese shops overlooking the harbour. The rare Hector's dolphins show up here regularly. You can pick from optional activities like a sheep farm visit, wine tasting, a wildlife cruise, or a walking tour.

Kaikoura
Early arrival in Kaikoura puts you in a tiny town wedged between the Pacific Ocean and the snow-capped Seaward Kaikoura Range. This old whaling station gives you chances to spot whales, fur seals, dolphins, and seabirds like albatrosses. Check out historic spots such as Fyffe House or the Kaikoura Museum, or sign up for one of the wildlife tours.

Kaiteriteri and Nelson
You'll stop at two ports in Tasman Bay. First is Kaiteriteri, which has one of New Zealand's nicest beaches with golden sand and blue water, and it's the starting point for Abel Tasman National Park. Then you head to Nelson, one of the sunnier cities around here, with loads of cafes, markets, breweries, cycling trails, and the Botanic Gardens. The late departure gives you time to explore in the evening.

Picton and Marlborough Sounds
Early morning coffee on your private verandah while you're in the Marlborough Sounds. Spend the morning in Picton with its tropical palms, clear turquoise water, and waterfront shops and cafes. You could visit the Edwin Fox convict ship museum or head into the Marlborough wine region nearby, which makes about two-thirds of New Zealand's wine.

Napier
You'll arrive in Napier this morning and walk straight into a city that's basically a time capsule of 1930s Art Deco design. After an earthquake devastated the area back then, they rebuilt everything in that distinctive style, so now you're surrounded by some of the best preserved Art Deco architecture anywhere. From there, you can pick what suits you best: head out to Cape Kidnappers to watch gannets plunge into the ocean, take a road train tour through town if you want something more relaxed, check out some of the local wineries that have won recognition, join a guided walk focusing on the Art Deco buildings, or venture into the countryside to see a private home and vineyard. It's one of those days where you really shape how it goes depending on what interests you most.

Bay of Islands and Paihia
Early arrival at the Bay of Islands, which has about 150 islands and thousands of coves scattered throughout. The yacht anchors off Paihia, New Zealand's first seaport from the 1800s and now famous for water sports. Not far from here is the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, where New Zealand's foundation document was signed in 1840.

Norfolk Island
Today you're visiting tiny Norfolk Island, roughly halfway between New Zealand and Australia. This self-governing Australian territory has a dramatic history, claimed by Captain Cook in 1774 and later settled as a convict colony. In 1855, descendants of the Bounty mutineers moved here. The landscapes have towering pines, World Heritage ruins, and St Barnabas Chapel.

Lifou (Loyalty Islands)
You're visiting Lifou, the largest and highest of the Loyalty Islands, which sits as a coral atoll on top of a collapsed volcano. The northern cliffs are dramatic, while the southern side has long beaches. The Kanak culture is alive here and proudly maintained by the local community.

Lautoka
Your cruise wraps up in Lautoka, Fiji's second largest city located on the western side of Viti Levu. After having breakfast on board, you'll head ashore and say goodbye to the crew and fellow passengers you've gotten to know over the journey. Keep in mind you'll want to book a flight out of Nadi departing after 12:00 PM to give yourself enough time to get there from the port.
