- Day 2
Madrid
Start the day with a coach tour covering Madrid's historic neighborhoods including Barrio de la Morerías and the Habsburgs District, then move through Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor before seeing the Neptuno Fountains. You'll also pass through the modern Salamanca district, Plaza Castilla, Parque del Oeste, and check out the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. After stopping for chocolate and churros, the rest of your day is open for relaxing or wandering around on your own.

Madrid to Mérida to Córdoba
Leave Madrid and head toward Andalusia with a stop in Mérida, a historic Roman city founded in 25 BC. Walk through the Roman Theatre and Amphitheatre, and see the Guadiana River Roman Bridge. From there, continue on to Córdoba, the former Caliphate capital, arriving in the evening.

- Day 4
Córdoba to Seville
This morning you'll explore Córdoba, an important Roman city and Islamic center during the Middle Ages. Head to La Mezquita, the massive mosque-cathedral built in 988 AD, and walk through the Jewish Quarter. Later in the day, travel southwest to Seville and have dinner with other travelers at a local restaurant serving traditional Andalusian food.

Seville
Take a guided tour of Seville starting with the cathedral, the second largest in the Catholic world. Wander through the Santa Cruz Quarter (where the opera Carmen is set) and then head to Maria Luisa Park to see Plaza España. The afternoon is yours to continue exploring at your own pace.

Seville to Jerez to Ronda
After breakfast, leave Seville and drive through small Andalusian villages toward Jerez, a mountain town known for sherry production and flamenco. Visit the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art and stop at a local winery for sherry tasting. Continue to Ronda and tour an olive oil mill where you can walk through the groves and taste organic olive oil. Your evening is free.

Drive through the Andalusian countryside to Gibraltar where you'll have time to explore this British colony on your own. See the Rock of Gibraltar with views across the Mediterranean and Atlantic, and spot the famous Barbary macaques. Later, head to Algeciras and take a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to Tangier. After passing through customs, drive to Tetouan, a charming town nestled between the Rif Mountains and the sea with a UNESCO medina. You'll have free time to wander before dinner at the hotel.

Fes
Explore ancient Fes, a UNESCO-listed imperial city and one of Morocco's oldest and largest medieval cities. Walk down some of the old walled city's 9,400 alleyways and explore the medina's heart. See the seven gates of the Royal Palace and visit the Jewish Quarter, then check out the ornate Bab Bou Jeloud gate built by French colonials in 1913. Participate in a hands-on couscous cooking class at a palace and have lunch. In the afternoon, visit nearby vineyards for wine tasting. Dinner is at the hotel.

Rabat to Tangier to Tarifa to Malaga/Costa del Sol
Head down to Tangier to wrap up your Morocco experience. Enjoy a panoramic tour of Cape Spartel, the palace route, and the Kasbah where residents defended against pirate attacks centuries ago. From there, go to the pier and board a fast catamaran across the Strait of Gibraltar back to Spain. Once on land, make the final drive to either Costa del Sol or Malaga.

Learn flamenco dancing before attending a dinner with a flamenco show at one of Granada's traditional venues. Afterward, head to a scenic viewpoint for great views of the city.

Granada to Madrid
This morning includes a guided visit to the Alhambra complex with a local expert. Tour the Alhambra and the adjacent Generalife Palace and Gardens, which historically inspired authors like Washington Irving. Then head back to Madrid. Upon arrival, reconnect with fellow travelers, share memories, and enjoy a farewell dinner party.
