Hanoi
You'll land in Hanoi and your private driver picks you up at the airport, taking you to your hotel near the Old Quarter. After settling in, the rest of the day is yours to explore the neighborhood at your own pace or simply rest up from your flight.

- Day 2
Hanoi - Ba Vi - Mai Chau
Following breakfast at the hotel, you head into the Vietnamese countryside to Ba Vi where a former war veteran who now runs a tea farm teaches you about picking and processing tea. Next you move to Moc village for a traditional cooking class, then eat lunch in a tropical garden before cycling through rice paddies. The day ends with a relaxing herbal foot soak before transferring to Mai Chau.

Mai Chau
This morning you cycle about 15 km around local villages to see how Thai people live day to day. The route passes farmers in green paddy fields and traditional stilt houses with mountains rising behind them. You'll learn about Thai ethnic culture, have lunch, and transfer to another part of Mai Chau.

After lunch at a local homestay, you walk between the Thai minority villages of Pu and Khoe surrounded by peaceful mountains and rice terraces before heading back.

Hanoi - Ha Long Bay
After checking out, your driver takes you on a scenic drive to Ha Long Bay, crossing through the Red River Delta with its emerald rice paddies. Once there, you board your cruise and take in the limestone rock formations and karst grottoes. Seafood lunch comes next, then you relax on the sundeck before kayaking or swimming near the grottoes. Back on the boat, you'll have dinner and evening activities.

Next comes a visit to a limestone cave with stalagmites and stalactites, then you return to check out and have brunch as the cruise heads back to harbor. Your driver transfers you back to Hanoi.
