Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kathmandu
You'll get picked up at Kathmandu airport and taken to your hotel. Your guide will go over the itinerary with you and answer any questions about what lies ahead.
- Day 2
Kathmandu City & Nagarkot
There's an optional mountain flight early in the morning (6:05am to 8:30am) to see the Himalayan peaks if you're interested. After breakfast, you'll spend time walking through Kathmandu with a guide, checking out temples and cultural sites throughout the city. In the afternoon, you'll drive up to Nagarkot hill station to watch the sunset with views of the mountains, then stay the night there.

Nagarkot to Pokhara
Start early to catch the sunrise from the mountains. You'll have breakfast, then drive approximately 6 hours (200km) toward Pokhara. Along the way, you'll stop to visit Manakamana Temple by cable car. You'll arrive in Pokhara in the evening.

Pokhara City
Head out early to Sarangkot for the sunrise and mountain views. Get back for breakfast, then spend the day checking out Pokhara's sights including temples, a waterfall, a sacred cave, and the scenic Seti Gorge. The evening is free for you to do as you like.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
You'll drive from Pokhara back to Kathmandu, taking approximately 5 to 6 hours. The route gives you mountain views, green landscapes, and rice terraces to see along the way. By evening, you'll have a farewell dinner in Kathmandu.

Kathmandu to Kerung (Nepal-Tibet Border)
After pickup from your hotel, you'll drive through small mountain roads toward the Nepal-Tibet border. You'll see waterfalls, rivers, and forests on the way. Once you reach the Kerung border, you'll meet your Tibetan guide and handle immigration paperwork before driving the final 20km to Kerung for the night.

Kerung to Tingri (Tibetan Plateau)
Following breakfast, you'll drive uphill and cross Lalungla Pass (5050m) onto the world's highest plateau. The Tibetan landscape stretches out around you, and if weather cooperates, you'll see views of the Himalayan ranges. From Tingri, you can see Mount Everest (8848m) on the horizon.

Everest Base Camp Expedition
This is an early one starting at 4:45am. You'll drive through mountain passes including Gyantso La (5200m) and Tsola (4500m) to reach Everest Base Camp. You'll stop at Rongbuk Monastery on the way, then hike up to Base Camp itself. After that, you'll visit Tashilhumpu Monastery before heading to Shigatse to stay the night.

Shigatse to Gyantse
You'll start with morning sightseeing at Tashilhumpu Monastery, which is the seat of the Panchen Lama. From there, you'll drive through agricultural fields to Gyantse, stopping to see the Kumbum Stupa and Palkchoe Monastery. The total drive is about 90km. You'll stay overnight in Gyantse.

Gyantse to Lhasa
You'll spend the full day driving along turquoise Lake Yamadrok. The route takes you across Kampala Pass (4784m) and over the Brahma Putra River (Yarlung Tsangpo). Today's drive covers approximately 260km before you arrive in Lhasa for the night.

Lhasa Sightseeing
You have a guided tour of Lhasa's main attractions. You'll see Potala Palace, which was the winter home of the Dalai Lama, then visit Drepung Monastery (Tibet's largest monastic university) and Nechung Monastery (temple of Tibet's State Oracle). You'll stay overnight in Lhasa.
