  1. Day 1

    Arrival in Vancouver

    You'll arrive in Vancouver and connect with your tour director at the airport. From there, it's a transfer to your hotel in the city center. Later this evening, you'll gather with other guests for a welcome reception to get to know the group.

  2. Day 2

    Vancouver Sightseeing

    This morning you'll take a guided tour through Vancouver's main neighborhoods and popular spots. You'll check out the Waterfront and head through historic Gastown to see what makes the city tick.

  3. Day 3

    Rocky Mountaineer to Kamloops

    Board the Rocky Mountaineer train this morning and settle into your seat with panoramic windows. Throughout the day you'll see the Fraser Valley, Coast Mountains, and Fraser Canyon as you travel east. You'll arrive in Kamloops by evening for an overnight stay.

    Rocky Mountaineer to Jasper

    Your second day on the Rocky Mountaineer continues with more spectacular scenery. You'll follow the North Thompson River, climb through the Monashee Mountains, and pass Pyramid Falls and glaciers. Mt Robson comes into view next. After crossing Yellowhead Pass, you'll reach Jasper National Park by evening with time to walk around and find dinner.

    Jasper National Park and Icefields Parkway

    Early in the day you'll walk through Maligne Canyon's rocky ravines in Jasper National Park. From there, you'll travel the Icefields Parkway, known for its incredible views. Later you'll stop at the Columbia Icefield to ride an Ice Explorer vehicle onto Athabasca Glacier.

    Moraine Lake, Lake Louise and Emerald Lake

    Leaving Banff, you'll head to Moraine Lake and Lake Louise, sometimes called the 'Jewel of the Rockies'. You'll spend time taking in this natural landscape before moving on to Emerald Lake Lodge for the night.

    McKinley Explorer Train to Denali

    You'll board the McKinley Explorer train heading to Denali. From your seat, you'll take in the Alaskan wilderness. The route crosses Hurricane Gulch and goes through Broad Pass. Weather permitting, Mt. Denali comes into view.

The rest of your day is free at McKinley Chalet Resort, where you can hang out at Denali Square or catch a ranger talk.

    Overall the tour was well.planned and places we visited were beautiful. The accommodation was first class but the quality of the food was poor given the reputation of Fairmont Hotels being exclusive. It was the only disappointing aspect.
