Itinerary
- Day 1
Passau
You'll arrive in Passau and spend time walking through the baroque old town, taking in the narrow alleys and the famous cathedral. Before boarding MS Swiss Crown at 4-5 PM, grab a bite to eat somewhere local. Once you're on the ship, settle in for your first evening as the boat heads out along the Danube.

Upper Danube Valley
Today you're cycling about 45 km through the Upper Danube Valley following the old Treppelweg route. The path takes you past quiet villages and you'll get some nice views of the Danube Loop from Schlöneger Blick. It's a pretty mellow ride through rural landscape.

Linz

Cycling about 31 km today brings you into the Vienna area. Stop by Klosterneuburg Abbey to see the Verdun Altar, which is well-known for its detail work. If you're feeling it, try a traditional Viennese wine tavern or ride up Kahlenberg mountain for views. An optional classical waltz and operetta concert is available later if that appeals to you.

Spend time at traditional coffee houses trying out Viennese pastries, and then head to the Naschmarkt where you can see local vendors, taste different foods, and just take in the atmosphere.
