Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll land at Glasgow or Edinburgh Airport and get transferred to your accommodation in the Crianlarich, Fort William, or Oban region. This gives you time to settle in and prepare for the Hebridean journey ahead.



- Day 2
Mallaig to Isle of Skye
After driving past the striking Glenfinnan Monument, you'll head along the scenic Road to the Isles toward Mallaig. From there, the ferry takes you across to Armadale on the Isle of Skye. Keep your eyes open for whales and dolphins, especially if traveling in spring or summer. You'll spend two nights on Skye getting settled.

- Day 3
Isle of Skye
The Isle of Skye offers quite a bit to see across its varied landscapes. You can check out the rugged Old Man of Storr up north, or head to the Fairy Pools for a swim if you're up for it. Down south, green meadows and scenic rivers make for great hiking under the imposing Cuillin Hills.

Isle of Skye to Isle of Harris
You'll take the ferry from Uig on Skye to Tarbert on the Isle of Harris, which takes about 1 hour 40 minutes. Once there, you can walk through this charming harbor town known for its Harris Tweed fabrics and traditional weaving mills. The island's beaches are worth exploring, and St. Clement's Church sits peacefully in the island's southern section.

Isle of Harris to Isle of Lewis
Crossing to the Isle of Lewis, you'll find landscapes just as varied and interesting as Harris. The island holds historical and archaeological treasures scattered throughout. Stornoway, the capital, has an open friendliness about it, and weekends bring particularly lively energy. You'll stay for two nights here.

Isle of Lewis
During this day on Lewis, you'll explore the moorland landscapes and cultural heritage. The community of Uig on the island's west side is one of the most scenic spots, with a vast sandy beach flanked by green meadows and turquoise waters. The traditional moorland fields inland show the region's authentic character.

Isle of Lewis to Ullapool
The ferry from Stornoway takes about 3 hours to reach Ullapool on the mainland. This 18th-century harbor town grew during the herring boom and still carries that historic feel. The ferry typically leaves midday from Stornoway, and you'll spend one night in Ullapool.

- Day 8
Ullapool to Stirling/Dunblane
Heading south from Ullapool, you'll pass through Strathpeffer, a nice Victorian spa town. Along the way, consider stopping at the Falls of Rogie if you want to see jumping salmon (seasonal), or making a detour to Inverness, the Cairngorm Mountains, or Pitlochry before heading to your overnight spot in the Stirling or Dunblane region for two nights.

Stirling/Dunblane
You can explore the historic towns of Stirling and Dunblane on this day. Stirling's imposing castle overlooks the old town and was home to Mary Queen of Scots during her childhood. The National Wallace Monument honors Scotland's national hero. Over in Dunblane, there's a magnificent 13th-century cathedral, and Doune Castle nearby, which you might recognize from various film productions.
