Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll arrive at Bristol Airport (about 14-30 km away) or London Heathrow (roughly 170-190 km away), then head to your guesthouse in the Bath or Bristol region. Get settled in for your first two nights here.
- Day 2
Bath
Spend the day in Bath on a hop-on hop-off bus tour. The Roman Baths, built around England's only hot thermal springs, are worth seeing. Check out Georgian landmarks including the Circus and Royal Crescent, walk through Royal Victoria Park, or wander the dining options around town. If you're interested, the Roman Baths Museum and Jane Austen Centre are optional stops.

Bath to Bideford
Travel southwest toward Bideford, passing through Wells to see its cathedral and 15th-17th century market square. Near there you could visit Glastonbury Abbey, Cheddar Caves, or head toward the scenic coast with Watersmeet and Valley of Rocks. The drive is about 220 km or 3.5 hours. Check into your Bideford guesthouse for two nights.

Bideford
Explore the north coast around Bideford. You could take a ferry to Lundy Island for hiking (about 2 hours), or head into Exmoor National Park with its forests and open moors. The medieval town of Dunster is another option. Most places are within 50 km or about an hour's drive.

Bideford to Penzance
Continue southwest along the coast. Check out Clovelly village or the dramatic cliffs at Hartland Point. You could detour to Tintagel (connected to King Arthur legends), Newquay as a seaside resort, or visit manor houses like Lanhydrock and Pencarrow House. The 170 km drive takes about 2.5 hours to Penzance. Settle into your guesthouse for two nights, and enjoy a traditional cream tea during the day.

Penzance
Take a leisurely day exploring southwest Cornwall. Visit Marazion and St. Michael's Mount (walk across at low tide or take a ferry), explore Mousehole fishing port, or head to Land's End at England's westernmost point. Walk the Sennen coastal footpath, check out St. Ives galleries, explore historic stone circles and tombs, or spend time at Porthcurno beach. Travel is roughly 50 km over 1.5 hours.

Penzance to Exeter
Travel toward Exeter with optional stops along the way. The Eden Project has impressive gardens with massive greenhouses and 100,000 plants. Polperro and Looe are charming harbor towns worth visiting. Other options include Trebah Gardens near Falmouth or The Lost Gardens of Heligan. You'll pass through Dartmoor National Park's moorland. In Exeter, see St. Peter's Gothic Cathedral or the Royal Albert Memorial Museum. Drive about 230 km over 3.5 hours to your Exeter or Torquay guesthouse for one night.

Travel via Dorchester to the Isle of Purbeck and along the UNESCO Jurassic Coast where fossils still show up. Durdle Door is a massive limestone arch and popular filming spot. Try a long coastal walk with steep cliffs or take an optional boat tour. Taste local specialties. Then head north to Bournemouth or Salisbury for two nights (about 230 km or 180 km depending on your route, taking 3.5 or 2.5 hours).

Bournemouth/Salisbury
Explore the region's highlights. Stonehenge (optional) is Britain's most famous prehistoric site. New Forest National Park, once a Norman hunting ground, offers great walks and hikes. Local exploration covers roughly 130 km over 2.5 hours.
