- Day 1
Melbourne
You'll arrive at your hotel in Melbourne at your own time, so the day is open for you to get oriented. Take a ride on one of those green streetcars heading between different neighborhoods and see what catches your eye. Walk through Victorian mansions, poke around the hidden laneways, and check out the contrast with modern skyscrapers scattered throughout the city. With over 140 nationalities living here, there's real cultural variety to notice as you wander.

Melbourne
A hotel pickup gets you started on a half-day guided tour through Melbourne. You'll see Victoria Queen Market and walk through the city's laneways and arcades where small boutiques and local cafés line the streets. After the tour wraps up, you've got the afternoon free to keep exploring on your own or jump on an optional boat trip for a different perspective of the city from the water. Head back to your hotel whenever you're ready.

Melbourne to Phillip Island
Start your morning exploring Melbourne at your own pace, walking through colorful laneways filled with street art and historic arcades. If food interests you, try some of the diverse cuisines from different communities throughout the city. In the afternoon, you'll travel to Phillip Island to visit the penguin colony and see fur seals, wallabies, and koalas. By evening, settle in to watch the little penguins return to shore in their natural evening arrival, which is pretty special to see.
