Itinerary
- Day 1
Edinburgh to Grantown-on-Spey
You'll leave Edinburgh in the early morning and head north into the Highlands. At Lindores Abbey Distillery, there's a guided tour followed by a tasting to get a feel for the region's whisky heritage. After that, you'll stop for lunch in Braemar to refuel before continuing through Cairngorm National Park. If you're interested, there's time to check out Whisky Castle and browse their collection of over 600 varieties. By evening, you'll arrive in Grantown-on-Spey for your 2-night stay.

Speyside Whisky Region
This day focuses entirely on Speyside, where roughly half of Scotland's distilleries are located. You'll start with a guided tour at Cardhu Distillery and participate in an exclusive tasting. Around midday, grab lunch in Aberlour, then head to Speyside Cooperage to watch craftspeople making and repairing casks. Later in the afternoon, you'll visit another distillery for another guided tour and tasting to round out the day.

Grantown-on-Spey to Edinburgh
You're heading to Dalwhinnie Distillery, one of Scotland's highest distilleries situated in Cairngorm National Park, for a masterclass tasting that includes selected whiskies paired with chocolate. Lunch happens in Pitlochry. After that, if time permits, you can take a walk through the Hermitage park near Dunkeld. Before you head back to Edinburgh, there's a chance to wander through Dunkeld's cathedral and explore the village streets. You should arrive back in Edinburgh around 6:30 pm.
