Los Angeles
You'll arrive in Los Angeles and get transferred to the Hilton hotel. Your tour guide will meet you there to go over the itinerary and answer any questions about what's coming up.

Los Angeles to San Diego
Head down through Orange County toward San Diego for a city tour. You'll check out Bayside Marketplace where there's shopping and restaurants to explore. After about 450 km of driving, you'll return to Los Angeles by evening.

- Day 3
Los Angeles to Phoenix
Drive out to Palm Springs, the desert oasis known for golf and shopping on Palm Canyon Drive. From there, you'll continue through the Coachella Valley toward Phoenix, arriving in Scottsdale after approximately 695 km. That's a full day of travel.

- Day 4
Phoenix to Grand Canyon National Park
Travel through the Sonoran Desert via Black Canyon Highway to reach Sedona, an artist community set in some beautiful red rock country. You'll pass through Oak Creek Canyon on the way to the Grand Canyon. There's an optional helicopter flight available if you want it.

Grand Canyon to Page/Lake Powell
Drive through the Painted Desert landscape and head into Monument Valley with Navajo Indian guides who'll show you around the desert scenery. By afternoon you'll reach Page, which sits near Lake Powell, leaving the evening open for you to relax.

Page to Bryce Canyon National Park
Start the day with views of Lake Powell from Glen Canyon Dam. Then you'll cross into Utah and get to Bryce Canyon National Park where there's a short hike through the canyon. If you're interested, dinner's available in the evening.

Bryce Canyon to Las Vegas
On the way to Las Vegas, you have the option to visit Zion National Park with its big multi-colored rock formations. Once you arrive in Las Vegas, there's an optional guided night tour available to see the city lights and the Strip.

Las Vegas
You've got the whole day to yourself in Las Vegas. Walk the Strip, catch a show, try the casinos, or spend time shopping. There's plenty to do depending on what interests you.

Las Vegas to Mammoth Lakes/Fresno
Leave Las Vegas and head toward Death Valley National Park. You'll stop at Zabriskie Point and Furnace Creek Ranch along the way. Depending on weather and the season, you'll continue to either Mammoth Lakes or Fresno later in the day.

Mammoth Lakes/Fresno to Yosemite National Park
If conditions allow, there's an early morning gondola ride available to Mammoth Mountain summit for great views. Then you'll travel over Tioga Pass into Yosemite National Park (weather permitting) to see granite landmarks like El Capitan and Half Dome.

Yosemite National Park to San Francisco
Head to San Francisco for an extensive city tour. You'll see the Golden Gate, Union Square, and Fisherman's Wharf. There's also an optional guided street tour if you want to explore more neighborhoods with a local guide.

San Francisco
This day is yours to use as you like. You can ride the famous cable cars to Fisherman's Wharf, take an optional harbor tour, or ask your guide for recommendations on local spots worth seeing.

San Francisco to Central Coast
Drive down to Monterey to see Cannery Row, the area made famous from the novel. Then continue to Carmel-by-the-Sea, a small town known for its distinctive architecture, galleries, and upscale shops.

Central Coast to Los Angeles
Stop in Santa Barbara, often called the capital of the American Riviera. From there, continue to Santa Monica, where historic Route 66 ends. You'll finish with a city tour of Los Angeles covering Beverly Hills and Hollywood.

Los Angeles to Hawaii
You'll get a transfer to Los Angeles airport for your flight to Maui. When you land, you'll receive a traditional flower lei and then get taken to your hotel to settle in and start your island time.

Spend time on Maui's beaches and explore the island with optional activities available. You'll experience the tropical hospitality the islands are known for. Your return flight to Los Angeles is in the evening on day 20.

Individual Departure
This is your arrival day, so timing depends on when your flight lands. If you're coming in early, you might have time to check into your accommodation and grab a meal before settling in. Later arrivals mean you'll probably head straight to your hotel, freshen up, and rest for the evening. Either way, use this day to adjust to the local time and get oriented with the area around where you're staying.
