- HCHelen· June 13th, 2025I would recommend a cup holder on the bus or a pocket on the back of the bus. The rest of the trip was amazing. Marcus was so knowledgeable and made our trip so amazing.Show moreTrip date: June 2025

- Jesmer· May 12th, 2025Marisol was an extraordinary! My wife and I had a wonderful trip with our wonderful group leader. We learned a lot from her history telling and really took time to explain. - Marybeth· May 1st, 2025A bit rushed...the 2 of us disagree on this point. I thought it was fine in the rest stops. My travel partner needed more time. On the point of time at the city stops, we both agree more time would have been nice. I know there was a lot of road to cover and places to see but we felt a bit rushed. We lived Mike and Russell!!! Super knowledgeable and friendly.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
- WAWILLIAM· April 18th, 2025More down time in hotel room, 45mins to go to diner not good. We really did not care to see some battle field from 2000 years ago! No more tour radar (expat) for us.Show moreTrip date: April 2025

- DMDianne· January 15th, 2025Guide was not really considerate of passengers’ needs or difficulties with some of the accommodation or movement around. One hotel had problems with leaking and the movement of one passenger with an ankle problem was not considered. He also seemed confused about some information given and times and locations for meeting the bus.Show moreTrip date: December 2024
- CMChristopher· January 7th, 2025This is my last trip with Expat, but I blame myself for trusting them after my previous experience in Dec '23. This company promises a certain itinerary, but changed it due to Christmas without notifying this traveler. They also promise 2 - 4 star accommodations; which brings to mind possible luxury; however, stars are based on services offered and not luxury. For the record Guide Mike Cole and Driver Joshie were excellent. A company has the prerogative to change up the itinerary, but I have the right to know of theses changes before the trip incase the new itinerary doesn't meet my needs. However, I was not notified of changes until I was on the coach well past our first stop. Apparently other customers were notified, some multiple times of changes. This is unacceptable, Expat as a Tour company knew that this tour was taking place over the Christmas Holiday when it was offered and they should have planned accordingly and notified every traveler of any changes, thus giving a chance to cancel. Instead of seeing the best of Great Britain, we had a very rushed schedule made tighter by the short daylight. We stopped at a location for Hadrian's wall, but it wasn't even a good section of the remaining wall. It was a section that barely stood 2 feet high. Expat should stop wasting their clients money on mass prepared dinners and spend it on the "options" instead. These mass produced dinners are not as good and don't cater to special diets preventing the traveler a real choice in meals. Stop offering "Options" just so you can decrease the price a little and increase your profit. One option was an 85 pound meal that I'm told was a horrible experience. Most people come on these tours to see the highlights but Expat skips the important stuff. The Punting (Venice gondola like) experience in Cambridge was nice but wasted time that could have been used to see York in the Daylight. In addition was on a quite cold day that lead to several travelers coming down with colds. The new itinerary even prevented travelers from visiting Edinburgh Castle. Anyone who believes Expat is a great tour company either has not experienced good tours, just don't know better, or works for Expat.Show moreTrip date: December 2024

Asked on May 1st, 2025I would like to keep my daughter in the same room with my wife and myself. What will be the price.
- Expat Explore TravelOperator•Written May 2025
As per Hotel rules and policy, three travelers are not permitted to stay in one room with twin beds. The third traveler would need to either be roomed with a fellow traveler of the same gender or purchase a single supplement. If your daughter is below 18, she will need to be roomed with either you or your wife and the other adult can either room with another traveler of the same gender or get a Single Room Upgrade.
