Asked on July 31st, 2024Do you guys send a letter of invitation for US citizens wanting to visit Turkmenistan? What is the visa process like if you do send a letter of invitation? If we do not get a visa do we get a refund or do you keep the initial 20% that you take and then we do not pay the other 80%?
- StantripsOperator•Written August 2024
We provide letter of Invitation. You can get your visa at the border using the LoI we provide you. Please note that the State Migration Services at the border do not authority to reject your visa if your LoI application is approved. We will refund the whole amount in case your visa application is not accepted but that is not the case happened before.

Asked on July 15th, 2024How far in advance do you recommend booking this tour? Will it run regardless of how many people run?
- StantripsOperator•Written July 2024
I recommend to book the tour 40 days prior to the arrival date because the LOI application also takes 20 days after you providing all necessary documents. It will run regardless of the number of the participants.

Traveler•Written July 2024Do you arrange the visa and letter of invitation or do I? Also can I get an option with meals included or is this not possible?
- StantripsOperator•Written July 2024
We will provide the Letter of Invitation and you will be collecting your visa at the border. You need to keep the printed version of the LOI with you upon arrival and it will be asked by the Uzbekistan Migration Staff. Regarding the meals, you need to act together with the group. If all participants of the group choose to include meals we will provide it.

Traveler•Written July 2024Do you arrange for the visa to be collected or do I need to do this? Also, I am just confirming that I wouldn't have any access to internet during my stay?
- StantripsOperator•Written July 2024
We do not arrange visas. We provide the Letter of Invitation (LOI) as visa support. You will need to apply for and collect the visa at the border, and this process is not possible without the LOI. Wifi service will be available at the hotels where you will stay. For full access to the internet, you will need a VPN.

Traveler•Written July 2024I can only see direct flights to Ashgabat. I know the trip starts in Turkmenabat so do you have any suggestions on how to get to Turkmenabat?
- StantripsOperator•Written July 2024
This tour is mainly for tourists who want to arrive from Bukhara, Uzbekistan via the land border. However, you can also book a direct flight to Ashgabat for the arrival day if you do not want to arrive from Uzbekistan. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Mary to meet the group coming from Turkmenabat.

Asked on June 9th, 2024I was interested in your Turkmenistan group tour starting from September 18th, 2024. However, I read on a forum that tourism is not possible from September 20-30th because of Independence day celebrations. Please clarify
- StantripsOperator•Written June 2024
It is possible to visit Turkmenistan during Independence Day. Still, the State Migration Services sometimes do not accept applications for the Letter of Invitation if the dates coincide with Independence Day. This occurs very rarely. However, the group tour starts on the 18th and ends on the 21st of September.
