Itinerary
- Day 1
Giza Pyramids - Saqqara - Dahshur
Your guide picks you up from your Cairo or Giza hotel and heads out to the Giza Plateau. You'll see the Great Pyramid of Cheops up close, then check out the pyramids of Chephren and Menkaure before walking through the Valley Temple to view the Sphinx. After spending time at a papyrus institute, you'll travel south to Saqqara to see the Pyramid of Djoser and the tombs of the Nobles. From there, continue to Dahshur to see the Red and Bent Pyramids. By evening, you'll get transferred to Cairo train station to catch the night sitting train heading to Aswan.

Aswan
You arrive at Aswan railway station where someone meets you and takes you by air-conditioned van to your 5-star Nile cruise for check-in. Lunch is served on board, then you'll visit the High Dam built in 1960. After that, take a boat trip to the Graeco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Isis. Return to the cruise in time for dinner, watch the folkloric show, and settle in for the night in Aswan.

Aswan to Edfu
Breakfast happens on board, and you'll have a free morning to relax on the deck if you want. Lunch is served before the cruise heads toward Kom Ombo in the afternoon. You'll walk through the dual temple of Sobek (the crocodile god) and Horus (the falcon god), then come back to the cruise for dinner. The boat continues sailing overnight toward Edfu.

Edfu to Luxor
After breakfast, hop in a horse carriage with your guide to visit the temple of Horus at Edfu, which is the most complete and best-preserved Egyptian temple around. You'll return to the cruise and relax on deck while the boat sails toward Luxor, crossing through the Esna Lock. Lunch is on board, and afternoon tea is on the sundeck. Late in the day, you arrive at the Luxor dock and transfer to visit Luxor Temple on the East Bank, which has ancient Egyptian, Christian, and Islamic features. Dinner on board comes with a belly dancing show before you spend the night in Luxor.

Luxor to Cairo
After breakfast and checking out, you'll drive to the West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings where pharaohs carved their tombs into the mountains. Next, head to the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari and stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon. Once back on the East Bank, walk through Karnak Temple, the largest temple ever built, which spans 2000 years and 63 acres with massive halls and pillars. Your tour ends with a transfer to Luxor railway station to catch the first class sitting train back to Cairo.
