Itinerary
- Day 1
Drive to Khudi
You'll spend 8-10 hours driving through Nepal's countryside, starting on smooth highways that gradually turn into rougher terrain after Besishahar. Along the way, you'll pass through small villages and farmland with river views and mountain backdrops stretching across the landscape. The road gets dusty and coarse in places, but the scenery of lush greenery and the surrounding hills makes the bumpy sections worth it. By evening you'll settle in Khudi for the night.

- Day 2
Jagat to Dharapani Trek
Starting from Jagat, you'll trek through thick forest with the Annapurna ranges visible ahead. The day involves river descents and steep climbs, including a tough push up to Sattale and winding paths from Tal. You'll cross suspension bridges and walk through rock-strewn areas, passing through villages like Chyamje and the forested settlement of Karte. This is a challenging day with considerable elevation change, and you'll reach Dharapani by evening.

Landmarks Annapurna - Day 3
Dharapani to Chame Trek
After early breakfast, you'll trek through pine and fir forests heading toward Bagarchhap, where there's a whitewashed monastery if you want to stop by. From there, continue to Danaque and then make a steep climb to Timang for views of Mt. Manaslu and Peak 29. Later, you'll walk through more pine forest and stop for lunch at Latamarang, catching sight of Annapurna II. The trek finishes in Chame village.

Landmarks Mt. Manaslu Annapurna II - Day 4
Chame to Meta Trek
This morning starts with registering your restricted area permit at the Police Check Post. Then you'll trek along riverbank paths through pine forests with streams running nearby, crossing several suspension bridges as you go. You'll have a packed lunch at Dharmasala before continuing through more forest. The afternoon includes a steep climb toward Meta village, eventually bringing you to the Tibetan Plateau where you can see Annapurna II and Lamjung Himal.

Meta to Phu Gaon Trek
You'll trek for about 4 hours with constant ups and downs, crossing multiple suspension bridges over streams. Along the way, you'll explore remnants of old forts where Khampa refugees from Tibet once settled. After reaching Kyang, continue past Phu Khola on a rocky trail for another 3-4 hours. The terrain is uneven but manageable, and you'll arrive at Phu village by evening.

Acclimatization Day in Phu Gaon
Today is scheduled for rest and acclimatization at altitude. You'll explore the Lost Valley and learn about how local ethnic groups like the Lama, Gurung, and Ghale people live and adapt to this remote location through agriculture, animal breeding, and seasonal movements. There's a visit to Tashi Lakhang Monastery, an old Buddhist monastery with significant religious importance. From various points, you'll get views of Himlung Himal and other snow-covered peaks surrounding the area.

Phu Gaon to Nar Trek
You'll trek downward for about 4 hours, crossing many streams and suspension bridges on the way to Mahendra Pul. There's a dramatic 80-meter high suspension bridge spanning the Lapche River Gorge that you'll cross. After lunch in Mahendra Pul, it's a steep 2-hour climb past Buddhist stupas to reach Nar Village. Once there, you can explore several Buddhist monasteries in the area and take in views of Pisang Peak and surrounding summits.

Nar to Ngwal Trek
This is a long and demanding day that starts early in the morning. You'll trek to Kangla Pass where views of the Annapurna massif unfold, then descend down to Ngwal. The hike covers significant distance and involves considerable elevation changes, so it's an ambitious day on the trail. Plan to pace yourself accordingly and take breaks as needed.

Landmarks Kangla Pass Annapurna - Day 9
Ngwal to Manang Trek
Heading from Ngwal toward Manang, you'll pass through the isolated village of Paugh with nice views of the Annapurna range. The trek is gentler now, with gradual uphill sections through Mungli where you'll connect with the main Annapurna Trail. From there, it's a straightforward walk into Manang where your camp will be set up for the night.

Landmarks Annapurna - Day 10
Acclimatization Day in Manang
Another acclimatization day to let your body adjust to the altitude. You'll explore the Lost Valley and see how the local Lama, Gurung, and Ghale communities live through farming, herding, and seasonal migration patterns. A visit to Tashi Lakhang Monastery gives you insight into the area's spiritual side. The surrounding peaks including Himlung Himal provide a backdrop as you wander and rest.

Manang to Khangsar Trek
You'll continue toward Tilicho Lake by exiting Manang from its western gate and descending to the river below. Cross the bridge and then ascend toward Khangsar village, which sits in old Tibetan style and is known as Nepal's last village. The evening will be spent in a guesthouse there.

Khangsar to Tilicho Base Camp Trek
From Khangsar, you'll trek on a recently built path past a Gompa monastery. At an intersection, you have options, but the newer path is the more manageable choice, taking you up toward the ridge line. After reaching the high crest, you'll descend on switchbacks through scree slopes into a side valley, cross a small brook, and arrive at Tilicho Base Camp at 4,200 meters.

Landmarks Tilicho Base Camp - Day 13
Tilicho Base Camp to Thorong Phedi Trek
Starting from Manang, you'll cross a stream and climb to Tenki village perched above. Then climb out of the Marshyangdi Valley and turn northwest into the Jarsang Khola valley, trekking north through pastures and juniper scrub while gaining elevation steadily. You'll pass Ghunsa village and trek through meadows where horses and yaks graze. After crossing a small wooden bridge over a river and passing an ancient Mani wall, you'll reach Yak Kharka and then Thorong Phedi, a busy base camp settlement.

Landmarks Thorong Phedi - Day 14
Thorong Phedi to Muktinath Trek via Thorong La Pass
Start very early to tackle Thorong La Pass at 5,416 meters, the main highlight of this trek. The high-altitude trail is icy and strenuous, requiring careful navigation, but the mountain views are worth the effort. You'll reach Muktinath by sunset, an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. Spend the evening exploring the nearby Vishnu temple and Buddhist monastery in the area.

Muktinath to Tatopani
You'll drive from Muktinath to Jomsom, then continue by vehicle through Tatopani, a scenic hot spring location. The journey covers about 7 hours on roads away from the main highway, with landscapes changing noticeably as you descend from the high pass. Evening will find you in Tatopani.

Tatopani to Pokhara
After resting, explore the Pokhara Valley in the evening. Take a leisurely walk along Fewa Lake, Nepal's second largest lake, with views of Machhapuchhare rising in the distance. If you're interested, there's the option to take a boat ride on the lake or hike up to the World Peace Pagoda. End the day with a relaxing stroll around the lakeside area.

Pokhara to Kathmandu
Following breakfast, you'll drive back to Kathmandu and check into your hotel. Spend the day sorting through photos, connecting with travel companions, and handling any last-minute shopping you want to do. The evening wraps up with a farewell dinner celebrating the successful completion of the Annapurna Circuit trek.
