Itinerary
- Day 1
Epidaurus - Nafplio - Mycenae - Ancient Olympia
Your private driver picks you up at 8:00 a.m. for the drive through the Peloponnese. You'll stop at the Corinth Canal first, then head to Epidaurus to walk through the ancient theater and check out the museum. After that, you're heading into Nafplio's old town where you can climb the 999 steps up to the Venetian fortress Palamidi if you're up for it. Later in the day, you'll see Mycenae's ruins before arriving at Ancient Olympia. Sleep either in Nafplio town or, if you booked ahead, at an authentic mountain village in the area.

Hydra Island
You're spending the day on Hydra, a car-free island that feels really different from typical Greek destinations. Since no vehicles are allowed, you'll get around by boat, on foot, or you can ride one of the island's donkeys and mules if that appeals to you. The island has this exclusive, peaceful vibe that's attracted artists for years, and wandering around on foot is part of what makes it special.

Zakynthos Island
Leaving at 9:00 a.m., you head to Ancient Olympia, where the Olympic Games started. You'll run down the original Olympic track, walk through the stadium, and spend time in the museum looking at famous sculptures like Hermes by Praxiteles and decorations from the marble temple of Zeus. After exploring the ruins and gymnasium, you're heading to Kyllini Port for the ferry to Zakynthos Town, about an hour and 15 minutes by boat, and you'll arrive in the late afternoon.

Zakynthos Island
Your tour leader takes you around Zakynthos Island to see the highlights. You'll drive north and take a boat out to Navagio Beach and the Blue Caves, about 45 minutes by water, where swimming is optional. Depending on weather, the plan might shift to the south side instead, where you could swim with Caretta-Caretta turtles or photograph Shipwreck Beach from above. Lunch and dinner are at good spots, and there's an option for a sunset dinner on the west side cliffs if you're interested.

Delphi - Meteora
Early start with a ferry at around 5:30 a.m. from Zakynthos port heading back to Kyllini. From there, you're driving toward Delphi, crossing the Rion-Antirion bridge, one of Europe's largest. You'll stop in Nafpaktos, a seaside town, for coffee near the Venetian Castle, then continue along the coast past Galaxidi. At Delphi, you'll visit the Archaeological Site and Museum, an important location in ancient Greece and home to the oracle. After lunch on the way, you head toward Meteora, arriving by late afternoon for a first look at the monasteries.

Thermopylae - Athens
You'll explore two or three Meteora monasteries, depending on how you're feeling and how much time you have. Driving around the Meteora landscape gives you chances to find good photo spots and take in the views. On the drive back to Athens, you'll stop for lunch and drinks at authentic Greek places your tour leader knows about, nothing touristy or set menus, just real food. You'll also stop at Thermopylae battlefield to learn about King Leonidas and the 300 Spartans. Expect to get back to Athens around 5:00 p.m., though it's flexible depending on how things go.
