Itinerary
- Day 1
Delhi to Leh
Your hotel pickup happens this morning, then you'll head to New Delhi airport for the flight to Leh. Once you land, someone meets you and takes you to your hotel. The rest of your day is for resting and letting your body adjust to the high altitude, which is pretty important at this elevation.

Leh
After breakfast you'll head out to see Shey Gompa and Leh Palace, then stop by Shanti Stupa for some views. From there you can walk through the local market and check out what's available. You'll be back at your hotel for dinner and then settle in for the night.

Leh to Kargil
Breakfast comes first, then you're heading towards Kargil with stops along the way. You'll see Lamayuru Monastery and the monolithic Maitreya Buddha statue in Mulbekh village. By evening you'll reach Kargil and check into your accommodation for the night.

Kargil to Leh
After breakfast you'll explore Drass and visit the Vijay Smarak war memorial. On the drive back to Leh you'll see where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet, stop by Magnetic Hill, and check out Gurudwara Patthar Sahib and Kali Mata temple. The evening you rest back at your hotel.

Leh to Nubra Valley
Early start to Nubra Valley going over Khardungla Pass, which is the highest motorable road around. You'll explore the White Sand Dunes at Hunder and can take a camel ride if you want. Then you settle in at your camp or hotel for dinner and the night.

Nubra Valley to Turtuk
After breakfast you're driving to Turtuk, a border village between the Himalayan and Karakoram ranges. There you'll walk around this culturally rich place home to the Balti tribe, hear about its history, and take in the views toward the Pakistani border. You head back to Nubra in the evening.

Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake
Breakfast and then you're visiting Diskit Monastery before starting the drive to Pangong Lake using the scenic Shayok route. You'll arrive at your camp by the lake for dinner and an overnight stay, 12,310 feet elevation.

Pangong Lake to Hanle
Early breakfast then the journey takes you to Hanle through Chushul Village and over Tsaga La pass. You'll visit the Indian Astronomical Observatory and see the Himalayan Chandra Telescope. Your overnight stay is in Hanle.

Hanle to Umling La Pass
Early breakfast and then an off-road adventure heading towards Umling La Pass, about 100 kilometers away in the Changthang Valley. After spending time at the pass you drive back to Hanle by evening and stay in a homestay.

Hanle to Tsomoriri Lake
After breakfast you're driving to Tsomoriri Lake via Nurpa Pass and Mahe Bridge. This high-altitude lake sits at 14,000 feet near Korzok village. You'll check into your camp and have a relaxed walk along the lake before settling in for the night.

Tsomoriri Lake to Leh
Early breakfast then you explore Korzok village and its Gompa, where you'll see some of the world's highest barley fields. Later you continue to Tsokar where the nomadic Changpa people are herding their livestock. After taking in the quiet surroundings you drive back to Leh for dinner.

Leh Monasteries and Heritage
This day is for visiting the ancient monasteries around Leh. You'll see Thiksey Gompa, Hemis Monastery, the 3 Idiots School (Druk Padma Karpo School), and Sindhu Ghat. Then you return to your hotel for the night.
