Yerevan
After breakfast, meet your guide at 10:30 AM for a city tour of Yerevan, the 'Pink City.' You'll walk through Republic Square, stroll Mashtoc Avenue, and see the Aram Khachatryan Opera House and the Cascade. Stop by Gum Fruit Market and browse the Vernissage Souvenir Market at your own pace. Later, head to dinner at a traditional restaurant with folk music performance, then return to your hotel.

Yerevan - Garni - Geghard - Yerevan
Following breakfast, drive about 30 km to Garni to see the ancient Temple of the Sun God, 3rd-century BC walls, and Roman Baths. The Garni Gorge has those distinctive 'Basalt Organ' rock formations that are really something. From there, continue to Geghard Monastery, a UNESCO site carved right into the canyon rock. You'll take part in an Armenian lavash bread master class at a local home, then have lunch at the Abelyan house. Later return to Yerevan for the night.

Yerevan - Khor Virap - Areni - Noravank - Yerevan
Start early with breakfast for a full-day trip to southern Armenia. Head to the Ararat region and visit Khor Virap Monastery, where Saint Gregory was imprisoned long ago. The views of Mount Ararat from up there are really worth the climb. Check out Areni Cave with its three chambers full of ancient finds, including the world's oldest leather shoe and cellar. Stop at a local winery for lunch and wine tasting, then see Noravank Monastery perched on a cliff. You'll get back to Yerevan by evening.

Yerevan - Lake Sevan - Noratus - Dilijan - Yerevan
After breakfast, head out to Lake Sevan, one of the world's great lakes. The panoramic views across the water are excellent. Visit two 10th-century monasteries on the Sevan Peninsula, then walk through Noratus Cemetery to see the khachkars spread across seven hectares. Stop at Mikayelyan Farm Cheese Factory to try their variety of cheeses. Drive through Dilijan to breathe in the mountain air, then return to Yerevan for the night.

- Day 6
Yerevan - Echmiadzin - Yezidi Temple - Tsitsernakaberd - Yerevan
Following breakfast, travel toward Echmiadzin and stop along the way to see the 7th-century Zvartnots Cathedral ruins, a UNESCO site. In Echmiadzin, visit the Church of Saint Hripsime with its refined Armenian architecture, then the Echmiadzin Cathedral, the spiritual center of the Armenian Apostolic Church. Your guide will explain how Armenia became the first country to adopt Christianity officially. See the Ziarat of Aknalich, the largest Yezidi temple in the world. Before returning to Yerevan, visit the Tsitsernakaberd Genocide Museum and Memorial for an overnight stay.
