Itinerary
- Day 1
Hanoi to Ninh Binh
Your guide picks you up and you'll head out to Ninh Binh province for the day. Once there, you'll check out Hoa Lu, which was Vietnam's ancient capital, then cycle through the village to get a feel for how people actually live around here. Lunch is a buffet of local Vietnamese food, and after eating you'll spend about an hour and a half on a bamboo boat gliding through Tam Coc's karst landscape with those dramatic limestone formations all around. Climbing up nearly 500 steps takes you to Mua Cave where you get panoramic views of the whole area. By evening you'll check into your accommodation, have dinner, and take a walk around Tam Coc to wind down.

- Day 2
Ninh Binh to Hanoi
Start with breakfast at your accommodation, then cycle out to visit Thai Vi Temple and Bich Dong Pagoda. After checking out, you'll have a local lunch before heading to Thung Nham Bird Valley. There you'll take a sampan boat through Hang But Buddhist Cave, where you'll see impressive stalactites and stalagmites, then walk through a tropical fruit orchard. The afternoon focuses on the bird sanctuary which has over 4,000 birds representing 40 different species. From there it's back to Hanoi where your driver drops you at your hotel.
