Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Kochi
You'll arrive at Cochin Airport and meet your representative who'll drive you to your hotel in Kochi. This city has layers of history from British, Arab, Chinese, Dutch and Portuguese traders who left their mark over centuries. After checking in, you'll have the evening to settle and get oriented to the area.

Kochi Sightseeing
Start with a sightseeing tour of Kochi's historic sites. You'll walk through Fort Kochi on the Arabian Sea coast, then visit St. Francis Church from 1503, the oldest European church in India. The Jewish Synagogue comes next with its hand-painted floor tiles and Belgium chandeliers. Later, catch the Chinese Fishing Nets at sunset and attend a Kathakali Dance Show in the evening to see traditional performance art.

Kochi to Munnar
After breakfast, you'll drive to Munnar, a hill station where three rivers meet with tea and spice plantations rolling across the landscape. Anamudi, South India's highest peak, rises here. You'll tour the Munnar Tea Estates and the Tea Museum to understand how tea gets processed, then head to Eravikulam National Park and the Mattupetty Dam with its reflection of tea gardens.

Munnar to Periyar (Thekkady)
Following breakfast, the drive takes you to Periyar in southern Kerala. You'll check into your hotel near the wildlife sanctuary known for its pristine forests, spice gardens and plantations where you can explore the local flora and vegetation.

Landmarks Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - Day 5
Periyar Wildlife and Spice Plantations
After breakfast, you'll head into Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, one of India's largest protected areas. A boat ride on the man-made Periyar Lake cuts through Western Ghats forests where elephants, sambar, gaur and wild boars live, plus birds like ibis and grey herons. Tigers occasionally appear too. Later, the spice plantation tour shows how local spices connect to Ayurvedic medicine.

Landmarks Periyar Lake - Day 6
Periyar to Kumarakom
After breakfast and checkout, you'll head to Kumarakom, a group of islands on Vembanad Lake. The Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary sits on 14 acres and hosts migratory birds including Liberian Storks, egrets, darters, herons and teal. After checking in at your hotel, you'll have free time to relax and watch the bird activity.

Kumarakom to Alleppey Houseboat
After breakfast, you'll drive to Alleppey, Kerala's backwater hub filled with houseboats and waterways. You'll board a traditional houseboat for a cruise through tropical village life. Coconut water greets you as a welcome drink, then lunch gets served as the boat anchors near rice paddies. Afternoon tea and snacks come later, and dinner happens at night when the boat anchors near a village.
