Cochin to Munnar
You'll arrive in Cochin and get a traditional welcome to kick things off. From there, spend time walking through this port city, which has played a major role in sea trade for centuries. Later in the day, drive toward Munnar, heading into the hills where tea plantations blanket the landscape and winding roads take you higher into the mountains.

Munnar
This morning you'll tour some of the world's highest tea estates spread across the hillsides around you. After that, head to Eravikulam National Park to see the region's natural landscape and the wildlife that lives there. The park sits at elevation, so expect cooler temperatures and misty conditions.

Periyar
You'll check out Periyar Wildlife Reserve, which sits on a nice lake and is South India's most popular sanctuary. Take a cruise on the water where you might spot tigers, leopards, elephants, bison, and lots of different bird species. Keep your camera ready throughout the morning and early afternoon.

Periyar to Cochin
Start the day with an elephant ride at Periyar, then begin the drive back to Cochin. After you check in at your hotel, you'll take a half-day sightseeing tour around the city. You'll see historic churches, old palaces, and the Chinese fishing nets that are unique to this port city and worth seeing in person.
