Itinerary
- Day 1
Madurai
You'll arrive at Madurai Airport or Railway Station and get transferred to your hotel. Once you've settled in, the day is yours to explore the city's temples. The ancient Meenakshi Amman Temple is the main draw here, along with the grand Thirumalai Nayakkar Palace. There are several other temples scattered around town set in nice surroundings if you want to keep exploring.

Madurai to Rameswaram
After breakfast, you're heading to Rameswaram. On the way, stop at Jada Theertham and Nambu Nayagiamman Temple. Once there, check out the ghost town of Dhanushkodi, which has a pretty dramatic history. You'll visit the Rama Setu viewpoint, walk through the Sri Ramanathaswamy Temple with its 22 holy springs, and see both Sita Theertham and Laxman Theertham before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Rameswaram to Kanyakumari
After breakfast, you'll drive to Kanyakumari, the southernmost point of India where three seas meet. Check in at your hotel and then you've got the rest of the day free to either explore or just relax. It's a good chance to get your bearings and settle into the area.

Kanyakumari
Starting after breakfast, head out to Vavathurai Island to see the Vivekananda Rock Memorial. Then visit the ancient Sarvani Shaktipeeth Shri Bhagavathy Temple and the Tri Smudra Milan where the three seas actually converge. Later, stop by Gandhi Mandapam and the ornate Suchindram Temple. The afternoon is open, so you can stroll the beach or wander through the local market before returning to your hotel.

Kanyakumari to Kovalam
After breakfast, you're off to Kovalam. On the way, there's a stop at the Nagaraja Temple in Nagercoil, which has really vibrant architecture. When you get to Kovalam, check in at your resort. Spend time at the Vizhinjam Marine Aquarium, the Fishing Harbour to see local fishing culture, Vizhinjam Village, and Samudra Beach. The Rock Cut Cave is worth seeing too. Try to catch the sunset from the lighthouse near Kovalam Beach before heading back.

Kovalam to Trivandrum and back to Kovalam
After breakfast, head into Trivandrum to explore. The Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple has intricate architecture and a 16th-century gopura that's really something. The Napier Museum has art and natural history collections, and Shankumugham Beach is scenic for a walk. You can also visit Halcyon Castle, built in 1932. After all this, you'll head back to your resort in Kovalam for the evening.
