Itinerary

Krujë
Start the morning heading out to Krujë, a medieval village set in the mountains about an hour from Tirana. Once you're there, walk through the old Bazaar where you'll find local handicrafts and shops selling traditional items. The 6th century fortress is still partially inhabited by families, so you'll see actual homes built into the stone structures as you walk around. Before heading back to Tirana in the afternoon, stop by the History Museum of Skanderbeg to learn about the region's past. The whole trip takes about 6 to 7 hours including travel time and lunch break.
