Itinerary

Tirana
Start your day at Skanderbeg Square, the heart of Tirana where you'll find the E'them Bey Mosque, Palace of Culture, and Opera and Ballet Theatre all within walking distance. The square gives you a real sense of the city's layered past and present. After spending time there, head to the National History Museum to get context on Albania's story. Later in the afternoon, take the cable car up Dajti Mountain, which offers views across the entire city and surrounding valleys. It's a nice break from walking around the center. By evening, make your way to Bunka'rt 1, a museum focused on Albania's communist period, which provides insight into a significant chapter of the country's recent history.
