- Day 1
Buenos Aires
You'll arrive in Buenos Aires and spend the day on your own schedule. Walk through Recoleta to see the French and Italian architecture, then head to Palermo where there's plenty of green space to relax in. Later, grab dinner and catch some tango dancing either in San Telmo or along Avenida Corrientes. The city has a real rhythm to it, especially once the evening comes alive.

Buenos Aires to Ushuaia
An early morning flight takes you from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, and you might catch views of Lago Fagnano and Monte Darwin along the way. You'll board the MS Fridtjof Nansen at Beagle Channel, sit through the expedition team's briefing on health and safety procedures, then enjoy a welcome dinner. After that, there's time to walk on deck and take in the scenery under the stars.

Drake Passage Crossing
Crossing the Drake Passage takes two days, and there's plenty to see if you're watching for albatross, petrels, whales, and seabirds. The expedition team gives talks on Antarctic history, the environment, and exploration, plus they introduce you to citizen science work. You can keep busy with art classes, use the sauna or gym, run on the track, get wellness treatments, or simply eat at one of the onboard restaurants.

Antarctica Exploration
Over five days, you'll explore Antarctica with an itinerary that changes based on weather and ice conditions. From the South Shetlands to the Antarctic Peninsula, you'll do ice-cruises and shore landings at historic sites and penguin colonies. Whales and other wildlife appear throughout, you'll contribute to citizen science projects, and if you want, there's optional kayaking among icebergs.

Return Voyage to Falkland Islands
The return voyage gives you time to relax while the expedition team covers explorers, marine biology, wildlife, oceanography, and climate change through lectures. You'll examine seawater samples collected from Antarctica and watch for seabirds like gulls and albatross on deck. Downtime happens in the hot tubs, heated infinity pool, or the Explorer Lounge.

Landmarks/POIs Falkland Islands - Days 12 - 14
Falkland Islands Exploration
Three days exploring the Falkland Islands means an itinerary that shifts with the conditions. You'll look for king, rockhopper, Magellanic, and gentoo penguins along with ducks, geese, albatross, and caracaras. Time in Stanley, the capital, lets you see the English red buses, eat at restaurants and pubs, and possibly land at penguin colonies.

At Sea
This is a sea day where the expedition team presents more talks and you can review photos from Antarctica and the Falkland Islands. It's good for sharing stories with other travelers you've met, or you can unwind in the sauna, soak in hot tubs, and just watch the water and sky.

Puerto Madryn and Valdes Peninsula
Puerto Madryn is a UNESCO wildlife site with warm weather and nice beaches to walk along. The Valdes Peninsula nature reserve nearby is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can spot marine mammals and over 180 bird species. Local shops sell arts and crafts, and you'll find good restaurants serving regional food.

Return to Buenos Aires
As the ship heads north, temperatures start to warm up. You'll have time by the infinity pool, can use the outdoor gym, and might chat with expedition team members to hear what they've learned. The farewell dinner happens on your final evening, and there's a chance to watch stars reflected off the water.

Buenos Aires Departure
You'll disembark in Buenos Aires after 19 days at sea. There's another opportunity to explore the city with its tango culture and Latin energy. If you want, you can extend your trip with a post-program to Iguazu Falls before heading home.
